Didn't work.

Terrible. I have this in 80mm from 2 years ago and it still works. Needed another disc for another car but got the 70mm. Followed the instructions to let it cure for at least 24hrs, but it completely fell the dash.

I finally found a disc thick enough to work on the front windshield and doesn't warp of otherwise lose adhesive properties from the suns heat.
although it IS 70mm, only 64mm is useable

while the disc IS 70mm, the ACTUAL USABLE surface is only 64mm. look closely at the pic. see that black plastic lip around the outer edge? that part interferes with the suction cup, so if your cup is 70mm(mine is) it will NOT adhere to the disc. since i only have a 6th grade education, it took me like 2 seconds to see this. so someone gets to pay freight both ways. not me
Still sticking solidly to my dash after 18 months.

I have been using this mounting disk for my smartphone car mount in my car for over a year and a half now and it has been fantastic. The disk itself comes with an adhesive layer on bottom. Removing cover from the adhesive layer you can attach the disk to the dash of your car. Do note that the disk itself is solid and doesn't bend, so you will likely want to find a part of your dash that is flat to affix this disc onto. The surface of the disc is flat and smooth which makes it great for the suction cup. I have only had to remount the suction cup once throughout my 18 months. Great inexpensive solution!
Use this with a Steelie

You need one of these to attach a Steelie to a dashboard in an older vehicle [I have a 2004 Volvo S80] where the dash is textured. This spreads the force so the Steelie can mount anyplace on it and still hold a decent radar detector steady. The adhesive works well, simply by following the instructions - how often true - but allow plenty of time and air to clear away the alcohol vapors so the 3M adhesive can develop full adhesion.
