My Carhartt boots had a nice rounded toe but the rest of the boot fell ...

Fits decent but I wish I had noticed at the time, these do not have your typical 'hooks' at the top two lace positions. It's eyelets the entire way up and, especially lacking a loop on the rear, it's a real pain to put your boots on. You have to loosen several rows of laces to get the boot on, then try to get your fingers in there to tighten them back up.

I'm also not a fan of how pointed the toe area is. To avoid rubbing, you need an oversized boot in Wide to avoid how narrow the steel-toe area is. Of course, this also means the majority of your toes are unprotected. My Carhartt boots had a nice rounded toe but the rest of the boot fell apart pretty quickly.
Horrible product

I work for my local city Dpw and require a shoe that can handle all the elements. Walking through grass on a light rainy day, renders your feet soaked. These are NOT!!! waterproof or resistant in any way. The insoles are like paper and deteriorate with 2 weeks. The stitching is not adequate and leaves flaps where leathers are joined. These boots have no support and the footbed shifts when standing on any angle. If you have to stand on a hillside, your ankle will roll. I condition all my boots with either, mink oil, snow seal, beeswax or hubburds shoe grease. The leather is far to soft , and the slightest grass gouges the boot. This boot is worse than any no name brand you can find at your local Walmart. These boots are unsafe and should be discontinued.
The best firefighter duty boots
R. Orchard✓ Verified PurchaseJune 26, 2018
I'm a full-time firefighter and have been wearing these boots for ten years. I buy a new pair every five years and am now on my third pair; that's 450 24-hour shifts per set of boots. My first pair held up for camping for another five years even after I retired them from their constant beating at work. These boots HOLD UP. They're comfortable, keep my feet dry, easy to clean and polish and the non-slip bottoms don't black up floors. I've dropped endless tools on my feet and not a broken bone or even a bruise yet. My only wish is that I could get these with a zipper on the side for a quicker removal when the tones drop and I need to put on my bunkers. Love these boots and hope they're still around and still the same quality for the remainder of my career.
Best Motorcycle Cruising boots I have ever owned.
J1957✓ Verified PurchaseJanuary 2, 2018
These were NOT designed to be Motorcycle boots but that is what I use them for.
I love these boots! They are waterproof. they are very well made and with my Cruiser they give me the protection and support I need. When I first put them on they were so comfortable it was like they were already broken in.
My cruiser has a heel shifter and running boards so my feet NEVER slip. On the rare occasion I ride a Sport bike my feet never slip off of the pegs and the steel toe assures that my toes wont get lopped off. I don't use them for anything BUT riding so I suspect they will last a very long time.
They are nice, until you wear them in

They are mighty small I ordered a 12 since I normally wear an 11.5, had to return them and get a 13 for them to fit. But that was just the ordering, if you want work boots, it's not these. They are nice, until you wear them in. You quickly find out it's not a solid sole. It's rubber over some foam junk that wears down fast. Wont stop a nail if you step on one. Once you wear any small bit off of the sole your feet will be constantly soaked. The outer layer is very very thin, about 1/8 inch or less or as someone in the trades will point out, about 3 days on a roof thick. The thin sole also splits, very fast, I had them about 3 months when the seam split in half, glued it back together and two months later the soles had gotten to the point where there was so little tread left it was like walking in socks when there was a puddle. You've got about 6 months of life in these if you do any work in them. Oh and yeah...not waterproof, even remotely. I soaked the leather in mink oil after the first time they got wet.
