Sturdy & pretty. Tone is not bad...1/2 finger notes can be achieved, for around a two octave range. Not more than a toy, but a nice one for younger kids.

I'm not a recorder expert but got for my 3 year old to play. Sound is just ok, notes are not super clear but again it was for a 3 year old. She loves it, it's cute, solidly made and affordable. Win in my book.
Not a flute, but a decoration

I'm on the fence about whether this flute has bad sound or no sound at all. I suppose it's both. It's a challenge to get sound to come out but when you do it's woody and dull. I guess I fell for the bright colors. A flute is a flute though. It really should work. After all I didn't buy it as a decoration...
Adorable, but sounds sucks!

My kid LOVES it, BUT the sound that comes out is soooo horrible. You can barely hear it. She has to blow with all her might to get a decent sounds. Too bad! It looks adorable. I think i am more disappointed than she is.
