Great product for the asking price. Other sellers wanted way to much more for product. Any where from $250.00 to 299.00. Great savings here at amazon. Good work.
SCX-48 is a Very nice Chromatic

I bought the SUZUKI SCX1-48 on the recommendation of a well known west coast Harmonica technician. He told me it was "˜Well put together'..,
I've had it for a few days now and I'm really liking it. It's airtight and the mouthpiece and slide are really smooth. No sticking slide problems at all so far. The one flaw it has is the high B in hole 12 draw barely plays,?
Probably could be fixed by gapping the reed, but being brand new I was hoping it would play perfectly. I have recorded it using my BlowsMeAway 58 mic with very good results. Also, at 211.00 on Amazon, it is about half the price of my 400.00 Seydel Saxony. I recommend you try a Suzuki SCX-48.

Loud and clear

The Suzuki harmonica was easy to play right away. The looks and feel is high quality, professional grade.Every reed plays easily with an even tone. The instrument has a loud, clear sound and is well tuned. The valve has a short throw and is very quiet. The reeds are all very responsive, except the top two holes on draw, which require a fair amount of air. The curved mouth piece is comfortable. Initially there was some valve rattle on the lowest notes which disappeared after playing for a while.
In summary this is a high quality instrument that is a pleasure to play. The only reason I don't give five stars because the tone is not as bright and mellow as the Hohner harmonicas, which are still my favorites.

GOOD SOUND AND INTUNE

A very good harmonica. All notes played well right out of the box, which not always the case with a chromatic harmonica. It is impressively airtight and feels good in the hand.
Bends like a Diatonic!

Heavy to the hands, well made, great sound. I was surprised how easily it bends! I wasn't expecting that. Bright sound even way up yonder.
