I love this stuff. Unfortunately. I was expecting the white batting, but that's my fault. I just ordered the wrong one.
Aside from using it for quilting projects - it doesn't "beard" as much as regular batting does - I make snowmen with it and for that, it's great. I try to keep a "stash" of the crib or craft sizes as I don't have a lot of room to work with the larger pieces. Will always be o one of my wish lists to remind me that I need to order more. :)

Decent material, but the wrong kind for cloud lanterns

I bought this in order to make a 'cloud lantern' - essentially a Chinese/Japanese paper lantern that is covered in cotton batting, and then made to look like a floating cloud when the light inside the lantern is lit in the dark.
Unfortunately.... this was the wrong type of batting, and I couldn't get it to fluff up properly. However, the mistake was on me, and I could see that the cotton was of decent quality and would have worked well if I need that type of cotton, so I'm still giving it a full 5 stars.
But if you are a fellow lantern cloud maker, avoid this because it's the wrong kind of cotton batting.
