The pillow is supportive, yet, during sleep can become to much giving a smothering feeling. The temperature of your environment makes a hugh difference. Not suitable for summer use.

Beautifully designed and created, top quality materials. Years back, I owned one of the first ever made of this design, from the original designer and manufacturer in Denmark. It was very stiff and heavy. The cover was scratchy and difficult to remove and replace. Today they sell for 4 times the price of this one plus shipping from Denmark.

By contrast, this one is plushly soft for comfort but firm enough to hold its shape to prevent the shoulder, neck, lower spine and hip pains. The cover is generously sized and luxurious to the touch, easy to remove and replace, plus there is a free extra one. Usually new bed linens need to be laundered before the first use to remove textile additives used in manufacture, but this went straight into the bed where it expanded into perfect shape. I started to do some fluffing and repositioning of the filling but found it really wasn't needed. I slept so soundly from not having to shift around and accommodate stiffness and pains, reposition pillows. It was like being dropped to the bottom of the ocean, a deep and thoroughly restful sleep. I awoke feeling flexible and energetic. I love that this is not only something that makes a profound difference in my health and pleasure but that it was such a bargain. I love that there is a way to increase or decrease the amount of filling to customize it should it compress or settle over time. When I unpacked it, it decompressed to its full size swiftly, proving to me the resilience of the fiber stuffing, so I am not expecting it to flatten. If it does though, no problem, I can add more. Another good remedy is to put it in the dryer with no heat and let it tumble for a while to air it out and fluff it up if needed.

Here's a detail that indicates the thoughtfulness of the design and construction of this pillow: at the zipper stops at each end (there are two zippers, each opening in the opposite direction) there is a small pouch that protects the zipper tabs from being rubbed, from opening, from catching on anything. That little detail is never added by even the top clothing and outfitting companies, so it wouldn't be missed, but they added it. The time it requires to create and add this pouch is not trivial for the manufacturer. I am sure there are many more such details that we don't even see or think of.

Update: After a couple of months, I noticed some big changes in my life from using this pillow. But first, to any changes in the pillow itself. None. I have not found the contents to have shifted, flattened or clumped. The pillow is always fluffy and never needs to be plumped, never. The cover did not pill. It is soft and smooth. Inferior materials would have shown deterioration already, but the pillow is still as heavenly as on Day 1.

As for me, I have discovered profoundly deep rest. I began dreaming those long, epic, mini-series types of vivid and detailed dreams all night. My body has shed years of aches and stiffness. I have more vitality and suppleness when I get up. I am writing this because recently I traveled and had to go without it for two nights. I had the old stiffness and terrible pains. I crawled out of bed like a cripple. When I finally got back and slept in my heavenly little nest, my body and mind thanked me for it. It doesn't matter what types of exercise, stretching, yoga, massage, hydro spa or anything else I do if then I pack myself away in a crumpled up position for hours at night. The key to my good health is the many hours of rest and recovery I gain from using this great pillow.

Okay I got this pillow bc I have bad acidic reflux and some bad knee pain as well as I'm a side sleeper! I love it and it really really helps. However I wish it was fuller. Once I took it out of the packaging it opened up but over the next 48 hours it really didn't puff up more. Does this company sell more stuffing to put into it?? Also wish it would give more details about the sizing. I got a good size I just wish maybe I got the longer one.

Update it doesn't keep its shape and needs more stuffing.

I didn't know that I wasn't sleeping well. I tried two small preg pillows because I thought a large one was obnoxious. I got fed up around 19 weeks and purchased this one. I have never slept better. It's the best.
I am 5'9" and bought the shortest size. It's not really noticeable but it would be nice to have it support my feet. I thought velvet would be too hot. The jersey is perfect.
I like that it's the same shape on both sides. I don't have to adjust it in the middle of the night.
I'm a back sleeper usually, and sometimes end up on my back in the night. It still supports me even in a position it isn't designed for.

I purchased this for my granddaughter (12) who has scoliosis. It comes in a small box vacuum sealed. You are instructed to unpack and give it 72 hours to fully regain its shape. This picture was taken by her 4 days after she got it. That being said, she's used it for 2 nights and she says she does t want to get off of it! She's been on it all night and all day except to eat, swim and play. I would've given it 5 stars if it had really filled out fully but I don't think it's going to get any bigger than this
