I wanted to love this and I've tried several ways to utilize it. The bowl is simply to shallow and even with the smallest amount of tabacco, it ALWAYS burns the shisha as if you took a blow torch to it even when not inhaling for air flow. I've tried one coal (high end) and 2 with the top up or down and with a metal platform instead of aluminum but it burns EVERY TIME. NOT A FAN, save your money. If the closable cap was removable to place on another bowl it would be better. I wanted to like this :/
Once you learn the trick, It is a great product!

Very good for the price, be warned..you only need two coals and will use only one to smoke with...this thing gets hottt.!!! I like the ease of preparation but you can burn your shisha very quickly if you smoke with more than 1 coal. Use two coals to warm it up..but again, only 1 coal needed here, trust me

This thing is freaking awesome, it was a bit big for my hookah, but i just used some wrapped foil and it fits great. It's awesome because it has its own hole plate, so i don't have to put foil over it every time, and with its wind cover I can keep my room cool while smoking, so its really awesome in so many ways, and for the price its great! I would suggest this to anyone with their own hookah set, especially if your a casual smoker like me, it just made it so much easier

Really great product and does exactly as intended. Love how you can adjust how much heat you're getting. Only issue is the clamp is a bit flimsy and the ceramic holes aren't even at all. Other than that, it's a must buy

Mine is ok it seems to give off a burnt plastic smell every time I put coals on it, I used a piece of cut foil poked holes in it and it worked fine but I also thought it comes with at least one rubber grommet but I thought wrong. The metal top on the bowl also is a bit crooked and it is very tight is hard to actually close... Like others have said in the reviews yes after you close it you can't open it to replace a coal or dump the ashes, apparently you have to let it get cold before you can do so mine doesn't open or close easy so I just leave it open.
