This pizza peel gets the job done. I like to cook frozen pizzas on a pizza stone in the oven. The pizza stone sucks away the moisture from the frozen pizzas and tends to eliminate that frozen pizza taste. The problem is without a pizza peel it's difficult to get the pizza in and out of the oven and placed properly on the stone or to remove it since the stone is very hot.

This pizza peel is just the right size for what I need. Also I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. It is nothing very fancy. It has a wooden handle which is very long(too long for my needs). In fact it is so long that I store it in a bedroom closet when it's not in use because I don't have any place in the kitchen to put it.

The metal part is securely attached to the handle so there is no fear that it's going to come loose. The part that will hold the pizza is metal and is slippery enough where the pizza will slide easily on and off.

If you're going to use a pizza stone this is an essential tool to have. And if you don't want to pay much money this is a good one with free Amazon prime shipping.

I have been making pizzas on a stone or straight on the rack. This is great for cooking, but bad for when I want to take the pizza out of the oven and all I have is some spatulas.

The size of this is perfect. fits nicely on my pizza stone, even though the stone has handles.

The sharpen is nice, as the metal has a bit of a bend to it to make getting leverage easy..

There are a couple things to watch out for
* It's heavy! Our son dropped our onto our hardwood floor. It hit the corner of the metal and put a big dent in our floor.
* There is a light blue plastic that you can barely see, but you should make sure to peel off before use. It's a pain to peel, especially around the logo.

Those two things do not lower my opinion of this product, but simply are facts to know.

This turned out better than I had expected.I am loving it with every use.I want to think I'm finally mastering this gadget.I have used inside my oven and we have a pizza oven outside on deck and this is a huge hit for a family that loves pizza and prefers to make our own. I only suggest you check the measurements before ordering because yes the handle is on the long side but personally I like it.Also be sure to remove the plastic from this before use.I almost didn't notice it had plastic covered on this.Than again my eye sight is terrible but that would be a sure way to screw up your pizza and make for a disaster. It's solid and durable.As far as storage could be hung on wall if you decide to drill a hole in handle or mybe store above cabinet even in garage lol.It doesn't fold up but I'm certain anyone could find space for this.I wish I had thought of one of these years ago.They also would make great gifts for the pizza lover .Price point was a bargain it probably was more expensive to box and ship this than the product itself .Definitely would repurchase same one if needed and will be buying for gifts.

If you're looking for a pristine shiny surface and quality handle, this peel is not for you. It is however fine for what it does and at a great price! The handle is not as smooth as it could be but in no way is it splintery. The blade is nice and thin so slides under the cooked pizza easily. I usually make a 12" pizza so the peel provides plenty of space. I rarely have problems with the pizza sticking as long as my dough is ready and I use cornmeal on the peel. (and I assume that's the case for most if not all peels) This is my first peel so I can't compare it to wood, but I like the easy care of the metal and had read that most wooden peels are a bit too thick. Read one reviewer who bought 2 to speed up the process. Not a bad idea, especially at this price!

How did I live without this? Seriously. I love this thing. I recently got on a homemade pizza kick. A friend gave me a pizza stone, and I quickly rediscovered what a pain in the pants it was to get pizza onto the stone and retrieve it later. A big part of why I had quit making homemade pizza in the first place. Enter the American Metalcraft pizza peel.

I love the handle options available. This one is 27.85", end to end, which is a great length for me and my home kitchen. Long enough to preserve the hair on my forearms, but sort enough that I am not crashing into stuff with it. I store mine between two metal shelving units in my pantry. Just stand it up in there. You could also drill a hole in the handle, if you were so inclined, and hang it up that way. It is large enough that you probably want to consider how you will store it before deciding on the right length for you. I wouldn't mind having a little bit longer one at some point, too.

One of the reasons I bought this one is that I also would like to start baking bread at some point. After doing some research on metal versus wood, length, etc, this model had the best of the features I wanted. I was a little torn about metal versus wood, but the durability and ease of care was the deciding factor for me.

I think this is a great product and a great value and I am delighted with it. In fact, I do Pizza Night about once a week now because this makes things so much easier and fun.
