Perfect solution for my middle-of-the-room sewing table

I set up my sewing/craft room in our new house. I bought a large Ikea kitchen piece with large drawers and overhang designed for stools/eating. I use it for cutting, sewing etc. It is wonderful because I have access on on 4 sides and the height is a back-saver. However, my electric is over on the wall. After about 6+ months of being careful to NOT trip over my sewing machine cord I searched and found this. It is as close to a perfect solution that I could have found. I had to put some heavy books on cord cover for about a week to fully flatten it. (It arrives rolled up.) But it has behaved since. It will scoot slightly side to side with being bumped with my foot. I may consider a few pieces of double-sided tape to correct this. But it really has not been problematic.

Sturdy way to bring power across a high-foot-traffic crossing. No, it's not perfectly flat and you will definitely notice it, but I still think its a far-better choice than to run a thin extension cord tacked into place with tape. I've seen a number of people complain about the color palette (greenish, white, and black) and if it's really that important to you: Amazon sells Contact Paper...check it out.
High quality and stays flat- great for bringing power to an area with no power without a tripping hazard.

This is great way to bring power to an "island" in your room, like under a couch to under your coffee table... assuming your carpet is putty colored to match the strip. (I don't understand why they don't offer other colors.) Anyway, my carpet is the same color so it is great for me. The strip stays nice and flat and the receptacle box is very durable and should last for a long time.

Functionally it should work. It arrived today. Fast delivery for sure. However it appears as if it was made in a garage at home by a 10 yr old. I realize that sounds harsh, however I was taken back after spending the money I did on this product that it appeared in such poor condition.
