Thin glass and cheap lid

This pitcher is a very nice design, which is why I purchased it. Nonetheless, had I seen it in an actual store I would not have bought it: the glass is very thin and the lid is an incredibly cheap plastic. I am sure it will break very soon and then I will go over to WilliamsSonoma and find something better and alas! more expensive. Live and learn.

Great glass pitcher to add to my collection of glass to store things in the fridge after years of using plastic and concerned about what the plastic has absorbed and what is leeching into stored contents. Space saving and handle designs are great. Sturdy and well-constructed. Pouring spout could be a little bigger for more efficient pouring.
I have their glasses and like them, but this seems like tons of glass ...

My kids somehow snagged most of these when they moved on with their lives. "Dollar Store" pitchers break easy, have no comfortable handles, and don't seem to clean as well in the dishwasher. Does a pitcher really have performance value? Give these a "10".
