The CHTO-01 is an interface for aftermarket stereo units to use the factory amps in some models of Chrysler/Dodge. This unit also assists in the installation of the bluetooth head unit. It's fairly simple to use. but PLEASE do yourself a favor, read the instructions and take a few minutes to understand the procedure. There a few vehicle specific steps to go through that you'll need to follow closely. It's not difficult but you will need a bit of thought to install. It helps to know something about stereo and installations but not totally necessary.

This is a must! If you a oem radio that interfaces with vehicles data base or if you have premium ampified OEM sound system and want to keep it. I have a Chrysler 300 and wanted to install a aftermarket hu(pioneer avh-p3400bh). I bought this can-bus harness and installed it. Radio sound a bit distorted, so I adjusted the potientometer. Sounds better than the Oem Boston Acoustic hu. I would of giving it 5 stars but the instructions, if you are a rookie installer, can be seriously confusing. So if you live in fort worth, tx and need it installed lookup XPI CUSTOMS on Craigslist and I will help you over the phone for free or you can brang it to me and I will install it for a fee. This is the one to buy if you want to use the fade option on your hu do not buy the other brand no fade option. Most importantly, this interface works with the finicky can-bus on my 2006 Jeep Commander with a built in amplifier. The PAC C2R-CHY4 (that a previous owner had installed) worked for about a year, before it suddenly made my instrument cluster go nuts with 5 volt power drop-outs every few seconds. Unplugging the PAC interface module made the problem go away, but replacing it with a new one didn't fix the problem. In PAC's defense, their service tech informed me that they no longer support Jeep Commanders with their interface products. (Amazon also does not give you the green words "fits you vehicle". I missed it because I was replacing something that had worked in the past). The Axxess CHTO-01 has worked perfectly for the past few days, since installation. So, fingers crossed.

Now about the wiring instructions. IF you can work on the connections, sitting comfortably at your kitchen table with your beverage of choice; and IF you are blessed with, at least, an hour of absolute quiet; and IF you have experience with wiring to color codes; and IF your have the basic tools of a splicing kit, THEN you can make the connections perfectly. HOWEVER, be advised that there are many connectors and wires that are not used, and that this simple sentence should be added to the end of the instructions: Make sure that every multi-pin receptacle on the interface module is filled with a plug.

After much confusion determining that this was the correct part for my Chrysler vehicle, I purchased this product. I installed this with an aftermarket Kenwood stereo in an '04 Dodge Durango with the Infinity sound system (factory amplifier). Everything seems to be working fine.

I assume that this can be used for other applications as well. There are several wires and a plug that were not used for this install, and this was a concern during the process. I realize that some of the options it will handle were not on this vehicle (i.e. steering wheel controls,reverse camera, etc...), but some of the wire colors were never mentioned in the instructions as Do or Do Not Use. In the end, for this vehicle, the instructions were spot on, and my son is happy.

a must have if you are installing a after market radio in your Chrysler. I used this in my 06 dodge magnum and it was pretty simple. I have installed radios before so it might be a little complicated if you have never installed one before but the only kinda difficult part for me was stuffing all the wires behind the radio because I also had a steering wheel contol harness that I had to fit back there other than that great product no flaws. make sure you hook up the remote on and off wire of your after market radio to the remote wire on the harness. oh and if you have steering contols you want to retain this harness has almost the wires connected already so you just need to plug in the aswc-1 and you are golden
