Value and iit Works

i plumbed it, tweaked the air needle valve, then I turned on the power and it worked! Somehow, I got the air flow right before turning on the power. The skimmer has operated flawlessly for over a month on a 29 gallon BioCube. The pump? The most silent pump made. My BioCube is about 3 feet from the sofa. When I grab a snooze, the pump is inaudible. Perhaps I am cheating a little, because the pump is in the aquarium stand with the doors closed. The unit comes with an airstone an ample supply of silicone tubing and check valve. Directions are, of course, simple and idiot proof.
Biocube 29 protein skimmer

I have read reviews that this product isn't good, but I haven't had a single problem with it. Actually I thinks it's perfect for my salt water tank that I have 5 fish, live rock 15lbs, and a bunch of corals. The reason I think it's perfect is it still skims out the waste with out removing all of the nutrients that I put in the tank like marine snow, calcium carbonator, and plankton. The point is I like this product and when I set up my smaller Biocube14 that I'm working on I will buy another.
Thanks for reading and hope this helps,
Tom

Perfect Protein Skimmer

I have been using this for several weeks and it works perfectly. I DID have to adjust the air flow to get it right before I was happy with it. I'll take a couple small adjustments over a couple days to paying $100+ dollars for a protein skimmer!
This fits perfectly in the back of my 14g Biocube. My lid opens and closes without issue.

IVE READ A LOT OF BAD REVIEWS ON THIS BUT I HAVE IT IN MY 29 GALLON BIOTANK AND AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF NOT HAVING IT SET UP PROPERLY MY SON SHOWED ME HOW TO ADJUST IT ACORDING TO THE HEIGHT OF THE WATER AND ITS WORKING GREAT. AFTER ONLY A WEEK OF PROPER RUNNING MY TANK IS CRYSTAL CLEAR AND IS JUST GETTING BETTER EVERYDAY. ITS SMALL BUT EVERY FEW DAYS IM EMPTYING THE COLLECTION CUP FULL OF BROWN NASTY JUNK. FOR THE PRICE IM VERY PLEASED. I CAN ONLY SAY GIVE THIS ONE A CHANCE AND PLAY WITH THE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT AND YOULL BE SURPRISED WHAT IT CAN DO.
Fits under the hood

I bought this for my small 12 gallon tank, (Not a Biocube tank) a regular tank.
I have bought 2 protien skimmers and I Like the Biocube skimmer the best because it Fits under my hood. I like having my hood on it reduce water noise, salt splashes and I can use the 50/50 light for my coral.
The biocube skimmer has no water line (which baffle me) but I went online & found a couple people say you can put it at Any level. On youtube I saw one person he had the collection cup about 2 inches out of the water and was collecting protein and another guy had the collection cup right at water level & it was collecting protein too so you can set this at any level. I was then able to put it low enough to collect foam and fit under my hood (something I con't do with the other skimmer I had; that had a water line).
I wish the suction cup were adjustable, when I stuck it to glass to fit under my hood the top suction cup was above the glass, lucky the bottom suction cup holds tight, still if they made the suction cups slide up & down would make it a 5 star product.
Also those saying is doesn't collect waste, if you just changed your water or it's a new tank Duh!! Biocbue skimmer isn't going to collect much waste from a clean tank or maybe you don't have the foam forming correctly.
