It does the job, but if you move it at all.. the straight edge is off. It is a pain to constantly worry about the parallel bar. If you use pencil, the bar will also smear your pencil marks all over the paper and its impossible to clean.

So very happy with this portable drawing board. After a quick adjustment on the back I was able to get the slide even horizontally. Love being able to remove it from my desk and slide it away until it's needed again. Great board, great price point.

Bought this for my daughter who is taking some basic architecture classes. This board worked real well so far and she loves it. It is small enough to be portable for her to lug to her college classes and at home when doing homework. Well built tool.

I love this size. The other students in my class have bigger ones that get in the way of their other work and are really heavy. This one is the perfect size.
The mechanics of the parallel bar could be better though. They are a little wobbly and I'm not sure I'm always getting a straight line.

Great size, super convenient with a great straightedge! Got this to replace a 3x4 ft mayline board and parallel board recommended by my school. This Alvin one all you need, if you're looking for a drafting board and are worried this is too small don't be its great!
