Best device for my dog to use in the summer.
CHUCK•July 2, 2017
Our Doberman loves being outside and we like bike riding. This has allowed us to do both and keeps your dog safe. It is almost impossible for him to pull you off your course and only once has he tried to get to the other side to go after a squirrel and you just stop. There is no tangling up of the rope at all. The only knock I have against this product is the instructions could be easier. I had to put it on 2 times to get it right. Also save all the plastic pieces for the bike frame because if you decide to move it to a different bike with a smaller frame you won't be able to without those adapters.
It performs beautifully, and my dogs are loving the exercise

Ingenious design. I have dogs with high prey drive, so was a bit worried about using this. It performs beautifully, and my dogs are loving the exercise!
I love this product

I love this product. My dog tugs A LOT but I barely feel it and am able to keep control. Good investment.
A great device for exercising your dog.

The dog loves running next to my husband's bike.
Excellent product, BUT....

I bought this product to, well, bike my dogs. I raise Brittanys and between showing them in AKC conformation and hunting with them in the fall, my dogs need to be in good shape (and biking won't kill me, either.). I LOVE the product itself, what I DIDN'T like about it was the fact there were no instructions and I had to figure out how to attach it to my bike on my own.
Those plastic things that come with the attachment? Yeah, keep those, Those go on your bike where you plan to put the springer. The clamps go around those so it's a snug fit and won't slide around.
The spring? Just twist that onto the metal pole as seen in the photo. I did not know this until I tried it (thinking why not?) and it wouldn't come off. So bright side, it won't come off! Downside, I'm glad it won't because nothing told me to put it there in the first place. But now you folks know!
I personally bought some hardware and used parachute cord for the line. I don't bike around posts and what not, and because I'm paranoid I'd rather my dog get hit with the bike if I fell over than get loose, get lost, and risk getting hit by a car and killed. But that was me.
Do NOT attach this to a collar! Get a harness for your dog. Attaching it to a collar can do damage to your dogs' neck so just don't do it. Even a basic dog harness from Walmart is better than a collar.
Anyways. I would have given it five stars if it had come with instructions (even if it seems straight forward and a two year old could figure it out), because it took me all night to figure out how to get it to stay still on my bike, and I'm glad I didn't just throw the plastic things away, otherwise I would have been in trouble...
