Best peanuts ever!

These are the most delicious peanuts ever. I usually get them each year as a stocking gift. My wife surprised me with these for Valentine's day. Everytime I have them, I'm always impressed. They pop in your mouth, are not greasy, and have just the right amount of salt. Years of consistency! You can't ask for more. Definitely a family favorite.
Very Inconsistent; Lately Stale

I lived in WIlliamsburg for a couple years (as a grad student at W&M), so naturally I went with the Peanut Shop. And I've been happy with them, but two of the last three cans came with stale peanuts. Is the seal bad? Is the QC bad? I don't know. Trying other brands.

Yihe can came with a big dent and the peanuts aren't that fresh. They don't taste like other premium VA peanuts I've bought. I don't even think they're cooked in peanut oil. They're like ordinary little dry roasted peanuts. Next time I'll buy Hubs.
Not as large as package statement implies

The package says "Simply the finest and super extra-large Virginia Peanuts are selected.." and if that is true, whomever is selecting them must not have access to "super extra-large" as these were not by any means. I also purchase Virginia Peanuts from Central Market in Austin Texas and they are consistently nearly twice as large as these peanuts. They are good yes, but they are not the top of the line if large is what you are looking for.
Good, but not salty enough

These are large and crunchy with excellent flavor. There is one glaring problem. They are under-salted. The choices are salt-free and lightly salted. The lightly salted version should be called "barely salted." I had to add additional salt. It was a disappointing part of an otherwise great product.
