First one was terrific. Second (and third) one clanks.

I purchased one of these several months ago, and I love it. Comfortable and sturdy. I wanted to have a second to leave in my car, but this new one feels like it's a little loosely constructed. With every step, putting the cane onto the floor causes this fairly loud "clank". I walked through a department store and felt like I was a cheaply-built robot. I'm attaching a short video to demonstrate the problem.

Edit: I just received a replacement from Amazon, and it's exactly the same, with the same noise. I'll return this one for a refund and look elsewhere.
Lightweight, great handle - I'd buy again

I like the look of this cane, and the handle is comfortable and soft. I am on the young side to use a cane and usually get looks when I do, but I need it for mobility support, so I like that it can fit into my purse if want to hide it away. I just took it on an overseas trip, and it fit perfectly in my handbag or carry on. It is extremely light weight and folds up easily. The wrist strap is a great feature. Only negative (and reason for 4 stars instead of 5): wish it had a band to hold it together, or a carrying case (other than the clear plastic case it came in) for when it's folded up - it will spring back into it's open position on it's own without something holding it closed/folded. I use a thick rubber band but it's sort of an ugly and awkward solution.
This Carex Foldable cane fits easily in a backpack

This Carex Foldable cane fits easily in a backpack, large purse, or suitcase! The height is adjustable, even with hands that do not work well due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. The handle design is good and works with fused wrists. The rubber tip on he cane works well on airport floors. I am of average height and weight and it works well for me! There is a heavy elastic that runs from tip to handle on the inside of the cane to allow for cane folding. The metal cane is made in different short segments that just pull out from each other when you want to fold it up.
I also want to look as nice as I can

I am an older person who uses two canes at the same time for balance issues. I also want to look as nice as I can. I like to color coordinate my canes with my outfit. Over the years I have built up about four different colored sets of canes. My blue set finally wore out. I have purchased many Carex canes over the years. They were my favorite. They were always strong, had comfortable handles, great rubber tips and the color stayed on very well. I just got my brand new set delivered from Amazon. I am not happy. All my folding canes have a colored screw/washer device made out of the same metal material as the canes that you use to tighten the upper part of the canes after the height is adjusted. This new set does not have that. Instead, they have a black plastic screw/washer device. I know it may not be a big deal to some, but it looks ugly to me. The picture that is on the bag that the canes came in even had the image of the colored screw/washer device made out of the same metal material as the canes. I am very disappointed at this attempt to save money by using plastic over metal.
and it easy enough for a 3yr old to do it apparently

Cons:
None that I have discovered.

Pros:
- Variable height settings.
- collapsible
- textured handle/rubber-type of material doesn't get slippery or nasty when wet (in the rain for example)
- rubberized 'foot' at the bottom is fairly flexible and grips well to all sorts of surfaces.

Possible Improvements:
- only think I can think of is some sort of 'built in' wrap/tie, used to hold the 'collapsed' cane together. Plenty of similar options available on amazon though... just search for 'cable ties' and there are all sorts of reusable ties. Something 8" would probably work, but 10" would be safer.

Additional Comments:
I haven't had the need to collapse this, but my daughters have played with it some, so I know it works... and it easy enough for a 3yr old to do it apparently. I saw someone at the doctor's office with the same cane... and they liked theirs as well.
One thing to be careful about is... be sure any cane you purchase is the correct height/size for you. I find the following from a different cane product that was very useful to me:
"How to Properly Size a Cane
Wearing your shoes, naturally stand upright. Put your arms to your side with a natural bend at the elbow. Have someone measure the distance from your wrist joint to the floor. This is the height at which to set your cane. If you don't have someone to measure for you, convert your height to inches, divide by two and add a half-inch to this height."

Bottom line: I would recommend this to a friend if they had the need.
