A relational database similar to MySQL. Has a decent user interface and good data verification/valadation and backup capabilities. Easy to use programming interface. Good software for the non-programmer that needs a database capability. Recommended.
Not as bad as everyone has said, imo.

I didn't read the reviews before I bought this item and fortunately I did, cause if I had read the reviews I wouldn't have bought it. While the program is not updated for Windows 7, (still works on 7) I can only assume that Avanquest is not going to continue with it.
Honestly, the only issue that I have had so far is that when I hit "Delete" while I am in the "Edit Data Entry Form", it crashes. For some reason, not all of my work is lost, only the info that I put into the entry boxes. The pics are still saved, just not the data. I'm not too upset because I was testing out how everything works before I started putting important information into it.
The manual, is a book really, seems to be pretty easy to read and doesn't get into customizing the data entry form too much, which is what I'm working on at this point. I like how flexible it is and you can pretty much customize to your hearts content. Perhaps it'll stop at some point, but I haven't reached that part yet.
One reviewer said that he couldn't import pics into it, which is completely false because that's all I've been doing. I think that an average computer user can figure it out, eventually, have some patience with it.
The other reviewers mentioned the customer service, which I haven't gotten to yet. I RARELY ever call customer service cause it's a waste of time.

When I went to $taples, there was a $10 rebate, which prompted me to buy it. Upon checkout, the rebate was not valid anymore, but I was given $10 off anyway.
