ordered june 12th. arrived june 21 by postal service. holes lined up just fine on my factor drilled and tapped marlin 45-70. allen head screws and wrench are supplied. TAKE CAUTION: just as screws start to snug up, they strip. package did come whith two extra screws. but for $12 what would one expect.

I mounted this today on my Marlin 1895G 45-70 and so far it seems a great product for the price. I'm rating this four stars because the screws strip out easily and the holes aren't perfectly lined up. That being said, my rifle only required four mounting screws and this rail came with six, which allowed me to replace the striped screw. Also, even with the holes on the rail not being perfect I was able to easily mount the rail without any modifications by alternating which screw I tightened, like you would changing a tire, 1st screw, to 4th, to 2nd, to 3rd, until they are all evenly snug. I didn't have any problem with screw length pertruding into the receiver. If I have any issues I'll update this post.

Simply put, this worked exactly as intended. It fit and locked tight on my Marlin 1895 45-70 and has held up to recoil just fine. For my specific rifle, it does extend about a inch forward of the receiver, over the barrel, but that may be desirable to some people, depending on the optic you are mounting. I have a small red dot on this rail and it works well and hasn't lost zero.

It does come with 4 screws and an allen wrench; you shouldn't need any other hardware to mount it on your rifle.

On time, is the only reason why I am giving it two stars. Does not fit correctly, holes do not match. Weaver base from Walmart did.

I inherited a Glenfield 30-30 from my father and found the scope's front threaded ferrule was broken. I decided to replace the scope but found the Tasco Pronghorn 4X32 30/30 scope didn't have as much eye relief as the original. Since the Weaver scope mount had only one mounting position I needed to find a mount that allowed an adjustment in the scopes mounting position. This Weaver scope mount fit the original mounting holes and provided multiple mounting positions. It was a perfect fit, fixed my original problem and is very nice looking. I'm very happy with the result.
