I had very few expectations about this hat, so was pleasantly surprised when I opened it yesterday. The hat is a softer plastic, with a foam piece at the forehead. The horns and "spike" are lightweight, hollow plastic, and insert from the inside, snapping into place. I think I'll have fun wearing this, and can save it for another year, too.
