2 uses and it died

I used this with one 2x3 ft panel on my tini campers 2 marine battery array. Twice!
Second time, I set it up to charge my batteries, I came home and it said "1". So I unhooked it gave it time to reset, then hooked it up.... And, it lost its mind putting out a rolling display and stopped charging all together... Then it went blank.

No cool
easy to setup and use

Works well, easy to setup and use, I do wish the wires in the back were connected to terminals on the back I could remove instead of being hard wired internally. But overall for the price it's good.
Can't go wrong with this controller.

I have used several types of and different brands of charge controllers for my solar systems. Although I have switched to a MPPT controller for my main system, I still use this model Sunforce for two other stationary and one portable system. I like the built in meter display, and I especially like the heavy gauge wires for the battery and panel connections that are built into the unit. Saves having to strip wire ends and poking them into screw holes. And this controller does actually switch into float mode when battery is full. This is the controller I recommend to my friends just starting out in solar. A solid performing unit and a good price.
Good Battery Maintenance Controller

I use 2 of these controllers on my boat to maintain the batteries. They are connected to separate solar panels (1 each for each battery) so in effect I have a separate charging system for each battery. I tend to leave the boat for extended periods of time, and prior to the install was struggling to keep the batteries fully charged. The installation of the solar panel & controller now lets me see at a glance the state of charge, and keeps the batteries fully charged while I am not on board. Each controller is connected to a Sunforce 15W amorphous solar panel. This combination has been installed for approximately a month now and seems to be working well.
This does a good job.

I have this charge controller a marine deep-cycle battery, and a 1000W power inverter and a single 30W solar panel. This gives me plenty of power for an electric drill and several lights. If I completely discharge the battery, it will take about 3 days to charge it back up to full, but otherwise, it does a real nice job keeping it topped off. Over the winter, I pulled my battery from my riding mower and connected it in with my marine battery. That kept the mower battery from dieing, and provided a little more power for my shed. I anticipate getting an additional solar panel in the future, but for now, this keeps my shed available for a couple of hours of lighting on an occasional basis.

This gives a nice display of the battery voltage, and the status of the solar panel (Charging, float, insufficient power). It is very set and forget.
