This dinosaur is tough.
Doanie Q✓ Verified PurchaseMarch 7, 2018
Tough but not indescribable. Our pit loves to tear up toys. And this particular shape dinosaur and brand is by far his favorite and our best choice. There are many little protrusions that are chewable and can be destroyed before he gets to his main goal, the stuffing, then the piece de resistance, the squeaker. Then it is shredded. It lasts for many many days of fun. This is a great toy especially if he is bored and can't go outside because of weather or something. As you see in the photo the toy is in the shredding state and still has a long way to go. He does not want an indestructible toy but we want to get him tough toys that he has to really work at destroying.
Great toy for a puppy!

I really love this toy and so does my puppy! Shes a 6.5 lb maltese shih tzu puppy who loves stuffed toys of all sizes. Her other plushies are kong brand and those have held up really well but i had been eyeing this dragon for a while now and i'm so glad i got it! This is currently her favorite plush and she occasionally brings it into the bed with us when we go to sleep.

I really like how the body has very little stuffing and Leia loves the crinkle material hidden in the tail!

The best part about this toy was that i was able to throw it into the washer and dryer without having the squeaker break! just ran the dryer on the gentile cycle and it was all clean in no time! (fair warning, my drier sucks at drying things in one cycle so that may also be a factor)

Any ways, i'm excited to get more toys from this brand, maybe something with more of the crinkle paper in it?
Super cute. My dogs favorite toy

Super cute. My dogs favorite toy. I bought it because it was marketed as tough. I initially was very pleased. Mostly becaue he likes to tear the appendages off things. Then he swallows them whole. He then either throws them up of passed them.... so far. My mind was greatly at ease till last night going to bed realizing 'Draggy' no longer has a tail. And I can't find it. And my boy now is pooping oddly. So here's hoping there's not a seriously expensive vet bill in the future....
Lasted 2 Months with Aggressive Chewer
Marisa S.✓ Verified PurchaseMay 14, 2016
My Lab mix puppy (now 7 months) is a very aggressive chewer, but he managed to love this toy for a whole two months before totally destroying it. First, the scales along the back were ripped off one by one, but the seams along the spine held fine. Next, the tail was ripped off and the poor dragon needed "surgery" to close the gaping butt wound. Afterwards, the limbs and wings were worried off one by one until all that was left was the body of the dragon. The last gasp was when my pup finally got into the body cavity to get the squeaker out.

Pros:
*cute, soft, plush
*minimal stuffing
*lasted 2 months with an aggressive chewer
*squeaker never failed despite obvious punctures

Cons:
*Not cheap enough to buy every few months
*details that make stuffie cute (scales, nostril pieces, etc) make easy targets for puppy teeth
Tuff enuff for Spencer!
Kevin Wilson✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 19, 2015
Our powerful St. Bernard/Boxer mix rescue boy, Spencer, LOVES toys but absolutely destroys them. Other than our red Kongs he's wrecked every toy he's gotten, including a black Hartz Tuff Gear our last dog had for a lifetime. In May 2015 I bought a three-pack of these supposedly hard-to-destroy goDog dragons on a whim (okay, I liked them) and Spencer LOVED them. He loved to fetch them, play tug with them, and dismantle them. First came some stuffing, then the squeaker, then more stuffing... but once the stuffing was gone (we would take it away, of course) the rest held together well enough to play fetch and tug with so we kept them. Spencer knows where they're hidden and will attempt to get them if we're not careful.

It's almost Christmas 2015 and we just threw away one carcass because it just couldn't hold together anymore, and another may not make it much past the new year, but we ordered two fresh ones here to give him for Christmas and frankly, I'm certain he suspects it because they're the only boxes he's shown any interest in, but since he can't climb they are safe... for now. We got a black one and a pink one.

We are THRILLED with these toys because he loves them so much and they've lasted almost 8 months (so far) with regular (daily) rough play. We have to pay attention to his methodical munching and determined dismantling, keeping his play with them supervised with them until the stuffing and squeaker are gone, but after that we let him have them. Though they are not indestructible, in our estimation goDog dragons are the best dollar-for-dollar dog toy investment we've ever made. One would think that a toy with a head, wings, limbs and a tail would not have a snowball's chance in Hell but our experience has been excellent.

In other words, 'dragon' has cemented itself among the "words we dare not utter around Spencer," right next to 'walk'.
