Sleek and Modern take to the Usual Track Light

The fixture replaced an older ceiling light in my galley kitchen. I wanted more light in the specific areas I use most - stove and sink, so I knew I wanted track lighting to direct the light accordingly. I liked the look of this fixture because it was a little funky and not the conventional straight-line track lighting.
I bought LED bulbs to get even more light (and to keep the heat level way down since I know halogens get ridiculously hot) however, my ceilings are only 8' tall and so I had to strategically turn the lights inward to shine the light to the opposite side of the room because with the lights pointed outward - the LEDs were blinding and glaring and burned the image of the LEDs into our eyeballs and we couldn't see anything else!! Probably better in a room with higher ceilings -- but if you take the time to adjust the light direction, it works well. It also does cast shadows, as most track lighting does, so you have to adjust them to get the light patterns just right. Gives off a good amount of light, looks good, and is well made.

This light was easy to put up and the light bulbs easy to install. It really looks geat. Do wish it were a little larger but can live with it as my kitchen is small. The only problem I have is that it does cast shadows. I am working with re aligning the lights to try to get rid of those, hopefully I can.

As described. I'm sad that the light positioning is such that I can't aim them upward a bit. I hadn't wanted to shine them toward the ceiling for some indirect lighting. Also, the only way I could keep from being blinded was aiming them all straight down. With any angle they seem to shine into your eyes. And they ARE bright, which is what I wanted
