I got the medium for my 5.5 lb. chihuahua who is going to have MPL surgery. It is the perfect size: fits his bed and leaves a bit of room for his food and water. I picked this pen even though it is a bit more expensive than many others. It is worth the price. It is sturdy and will not tip over. It is well made and the quality of the material is good. Setup was a breeze and took less than a minute. It's easy to fold back. This is important to me because we plan to use it in different locations. The pen is very portable: It has its own bag and it is very light. My dog may chew through the material and the mesh (he's a puppy and has sharp teeth), but I hope we'll be able to use it until he can jump and run around again.

Sturdier than other soft playpens. The shape provides plenty of places to place a dog bed, extra blanket, and water bowl.
I wish I had purchased a medium instead of large for my dog. Due to the shape, it is roomier than I expected.
I'm happy they switched to zippered floors. Years ago, they came with velcro, which my dog quickly learned to detach. He remembered that trick and tried to detach the new-style zipper. It help up against a very persistent dog.
Eventually, I will donate this to a rescue organization and purchase a smaller one for my little dog. I think a rescue would be happy to have this while dogs are whelping.

I have a chihuahua and this is perfect for him, he can't push through or chew his way out and he can have his food and bed all in the same place. I would recommend this to anyone with a small/medium dog. It's great for the house, and for outside, I was never a big fan of putting him in a kennel and now I only use the kennel for travel purposes.
The only complaint is there is no instruction on how to fold this, it's kind of confusing to put it up, at some point you just give up.

This was fabulous for our cats during open houses and house tours, until our cats learned they could pull the Velcro out of the bottom and escape. I think it wasn't made for cats, or not made for a team of cats working together. It was great the first time, but didn't really fit our needs.

I love this playpen! I was looking for something I can keep my 8lb yorkie in while we were on vacation (I didn't want her running loose in the vacation home we rented while we were out) and this is perfect I bought the large playpen since I didn't want her to be in a confined space while we were gone and it's actually pretty big, I think we could have gone with the medium size and she still would have had more than enough room.. All in all she doesn't mind being in there it's actually become her comfy place even when we're at home.
