Just do yourself a favor and buy it !

Just got it and have not used it a lot but so far, so good. Checked the squareness first thing out of the box and it was spot on. Made a couple cuts and checked the squareness of the actual cut and again, spot on, no adjustment needed. The cutter glides smooth and easy and leaves a very clean edge. If you look close you can see minor fuzzing in the end grain but not enough for my concern but if it was a quick swipe with a sanding block takes care of it. Cuts through 12 mil photo paper like it's soft butter. I wouldnt recommend it for a busy commercial operation but for the hobbyist or someone just starting out I say, buy it...
Sadly Not Impressed
Nannie✓ Verified Purchase•January 29, 2018
Not impressed. Sorry. Pulling it out of the box, one of "end caps" slid partially off - which made the paper cut unevenly. I worked to re-position it - and tried cutting again. This time I noted that 11" paper didn't cut exactly at the half-way (5 1/2") mark. Pushing the cutting device was difficult - and this was on very thin paper. I need to use this for cardstock, but haven't had a chance to try it with this heavier paper. Will do that tomorrow. I think I will need to return this item. Perhaps this was just a "lemon" - and the next one will work fine.
IT WAS OUT OF SQUARE, BUT IT CAN BE ADJUSTED.

worked great. Some tidbits
Julia Sprenz✓ Verified Purchase•August 6, 2017
Cut about 1000 prints on this thing, worked great.
Some tidbits: This cutter will move around. This is easily fixed with some carpet grip, which most dollar stores carry.
I wouldn't use it to cut a bunch of items at once, it worked okay with 2 cardstock prints but it's a pain to make sure they're aligned properly.

Well it cuts nice straight lines without tear free on paper and thin ...

We bought this a few months back as a small business necessity. Looking at the name and place of manufacture we figured that it would worth a shot realizing that it was only $39 and we'd probably be getting what we paid for. Well it cuts nice straight lines without tear free on paper and thin card.
But, I'd also expect a cutting tool, which promotes it's viability and accuracy by putting a load of (useless?) geometric guidelines across the base plate, to a least be built square! I mean how hard is that. Put your paper in, push it up against one edge, swish the blade across and 'hey presto' you have an accurate square edge............or not! Nope, definitely not square at all........off by a few degrees across the paper width. So maybe it was maybe made in China after all ;-)
If you're only gonna cut paper chains for the kids to glue together, go for it it'll be the best $39 spent, but if you want a clean accurate and most importantly square edge then go elsewhere. Maybe I just got a lemon or all the other folks on here don't give a dang for geometric accuracy???
