Nice pizza Peel at a great price

It's aluminum...which I knew so it's not amazing. But I like it. It works like a charm. Just make sure you put plenty of corn meal under your pizza or the damp pizza will not slide onto your steel or stone. But that goes for any good metal peel. The long handle is helpful, but can get in the way at times if you work in close quarters.
It is a great ice scrapper though

I don't use this as much as I thought I would. Ended up scraping ice off my car with it. Still not sure why I bought it. It is a great ice scrapper though.
Get out the File, Hammer and Sandpaper

Here's the problem. Very little effort was made to "finish" this product. Metal workers would say, "Poor fit and finish." Consult the photos. That shiny white line on the edge in one photo is a raised metal flesh-slashing burr. Sharp enough to use as a cabinet scraper. The other photo shows raised and buckled (probably when the rivets were set) metal joinery that: a) exposes more sharp slashers and b) opens the joint to food and muck. Not the most sanitary. Not shown is the poor mating of handle to the socket. The wood was not trimmed after assembly, leaving another food catcher and splinter-maker. To be fair, all of this can be remedied if you have the know-how and tools such as I do. The edges will be filed, the open joint will be peened and closed over an anvil and the wood will be filed and sanded to a smooth transition. Then, this will be a worthy kitchen tool. The only red fluid I want to see on my pizza is tomato sauce.
Update: The peel has been tuned and used every weekend since. It works perfectly. There is no sticking, no scratching. Dump the dough to be shaped on a silicone pastry mat sprinkled with corn meal (works better than flour). Shape to size and shake to loosen from the mat. Slide the dough onto the peel, also lightly coated with cornmeal. QUICKLY, load the toppings and give it a shake to keep it loose on the peel. To reduce oven mess, brush off excess cornmeal (no need to be fussy) and shake periodically as the pizza is slid into the oven. Works Great!
I'm still keeping the two star rating though. If tuning is part of the purchase, it should be stated.
Not Bad, Not The Best

It is built ok. Does what it is supposed to. I am not to happy with the construction. Looks like it was a Monday build.
Best for turning and taking out a pizza though

Exactly what I was expecting. Its well made and does the job. Best for turning and taking out a pizza though. I have a wooden peel to put the pizza in as the dough will tend to stick more to the metal one. Semolina flour and a better technique would likely solve that. If you're looking for a large well made peel you wont go wrong with this. Especially for the price!
