Caution if this is to be used ONLY in battery mode
tt381•August 29, 2017
So In our office we have about 10 of them bought over 2 years. Mainly in our conference rooms we like the battery feature. So it take NEW batteries - when they get weak weird things happen. Also some work in the plug in mode and then in the battery mode it keeps stapling over and over again with no paper or trigger - weird as it is ONLY in the battery use.Plug it in and it works fine. So not sure what sensor inside using batteries makes the unit freak out. So anyway we just keep shuffling the crazy battery mode units with others that are plugged in. If we only had ONE stapler in the office and it went crazy in battery mode - I would give it a ONE STAR
My New Favorite Stapler

Great stapler! It works automatically and manually--just adjust the lever. In automatic mode it staples by sensing the paper (mechanical sensor). In manual mode, you put the paper in and press the black rubber bumper on top which powers the stapler to staple the paper. I recommend that you use Swingline Optima staples and have a good set of batteries for best results.
Quality Staplet

This is an outstanding product for the home office. Interesting, negative reviews never tell us how it was used? If you push a product beyond it's stated capacity, don't be surprised if it fails. Enjoy a quality stapler in your home.Buy a heavy product for the kind of work load appropriate!
Teachers - don't buy this!

Was nice while it lasted in my high school classroom. Broke after two months of adult-only use. Would constantly jam while it did work. Then one day it just stopped working completely.
I regularly push the max recommended limit and it keeps on chugging and never complains

Comes with a chip on its shoulder and has something to prove. I regularly push the max recommended limit and it keeps on chugging and never complains. Having the AC adapter and the option to use batteries is handy, we primarily use the AC function.
The last one went for years until it was stolen out of our copy room. I'd expect this one to do well also.
