STAY AWAY - This isn't like the older ones - it CAN'T pick up debris because it doesn't hover long enough to suck it up!

I've used the T Jets for many years (+15). Had two of them and they worked wonderfully. Apparently there is a redesign as this thing can't pick up any debris whatsoever. Aquabot - if you ever read these reviews, please consider these points: The product rides too high above the surface of the pool to properly pick up debris; you have put all the output of this unit into moving it across the pool so it moves entirely too fast to have TIME to pick up debris - if you would divert more of this outflow to the jets underneath, this would stir up the debris more to allow proper removal. The jets barely shoot any water out as they are configured now; the unit sucks in air when reaching the top of the walls of my pool - none of the previous T Jets ever did this. Just curious Aquabot, do you ever REALLY test these things out? You've destroyed what used to be an excellent pool cleaner. Very sad - I'm going with Polaris and see how it does. Wish I owned the patent to the T Jet as I could sure as heck design one that would at least pick debris up! You've really messed this one up! Returning the unit.
NIce and Light. Good coverage and volume
Myst&HistJune 1, 2018
After a season's use I will re-assess - but his unit is perfect for what I wanted it for. (1) light weight - this was imperative for lifting out of the pool. (2) Good collection volume - for use when opening the pool. I have a very expensive crawler which weighs 4X and picks up less - which I will now use during the season. This unit has the bags which are a bit of a chore to get out - rinse down, but so far so good.
Good and not so good

First of all my fiberglass pool is 12 by 26. So getting the timer set and wheels adjusted to efficiently clean is a battle. I like the simplicity of the cleaner. Less moving parts to maintain. My pool has a 4 inch safety ledge at the bottom and sometimes it impeads the cleaners ability to turn, so therfore it will get stuck running back and forth across the pool. It definitely has the power to over come the ledge and climb the walls. So what i have been doing to compensate is each time i run the cleaner i change the position of the wheel adjustment pin. Suction and debris pickup power is good. I like the suction extensions that come with it. I have not had to use any of the extra buoyancy that come with, since it almost too light anyway
This is the product you get for $400

I thought buying an automatic vacuum would be great. It turns out I'm spending just as much time babysitting this vacuum as I would manually vacuuming. I've had this vacuum for 2 weeks and encountered a ton of issues with this aqua bot and will not consider buying another from this company. 1. The cord constantly gets tangled and it limits the distance the vacuum can travel in the pool. 2. It misses spots and continues to get the same spots over and over again. 3. Gets stuck on the wall and it can't get itself free without pushing it back down. 4 I noticed it stirs up the dirt at the bottom of pool as much as it vacuums which causes the pool to get cloudy. If you decide to get an automatic pool cleaner I suggest going in a different direction.
DO NOT BUY THIS CLEANER!

The cord leading from the cleaner to the power supply is too rigid. As the cleaner works around the pool the cord becomes increasingly tangled with itself, which shortens the range of motion, which leads to the cleaner vaccuuming the same section over and over. I periodically have to untangle the cord and reset the unit which defeats the purpose of having this cleaner. I had the precursor, the Aquajet for approximately 8 years with no problems. When the power supply failed I opted to buy a new unit and this was the latest model. If the AquaBOT had the same cord as the AquaJET there would be no problem. However, in the current configuration the stiff cord limits the usefulness of this cleaner. I requested a refund but was denied due to the 30 day return date having expired. I requested the refund on the 30th day. Just be aware, or BEWARE of this unit. You will be frustrated with it.
