Excellent for hooking up cable through a window I use in my older RV since the wiring built-in don't function for HD TVs ... Only thing is once you put in window doesn't last long if you open and close the window alot .. the wires are very thin and can't handle a lot of bending ... But as long as you put in window close and yes you can lock the window really don't need to move and will last a very long time !!!

At eight inches length and 3/32 inch height, these easily fit in the gap of a typical double pane apartment window, closed. There is enough flex and length, after install, to bend the extra section downward and tack it neatly. No wire fray or air leaks even past this cold Northeastern winter. The connectors still look fine--TV channels all work and no signal degradation. Like other thin cables of this type, jamming it every time a window closes impacts longevity, so better to install it at a less active location. But for this moderate jammer, so far so good.

I got these to run coaxial cable inside the house I rent. My house is brick and I didn't want to drill any holes in the exterior walls. These window adapters allow me to run coaxial cable in the window and still allow the window to close and lock. And the white sort of blends in with the window sill Very happy with these so far. The reason I gave these 4 stars is I feel the exterior plastic sheath is a little thin and may wear through in time. If it doesn't, then I will update to 5 stars.

I've used various iterations of this type of product for years...this variant is as good as any other I've had.
The outer white jacket is quite thick but it easily conformed around the closed window and even the screen.
The units I received had this outer white jacket encroach on the connectors ...which turned out to be a good
thing since it provided some weatherproofing. In any case could be easily trimmed if needed.
My application was to get the lead-in for a FM antenna through the window of the rental house I'm in.
This did the trick and at under $4 for a pair from Amazon you can't beat it. Arguably not the most demanding application
but the windows are only a few years old and close very tightly so the fact this worked as well as it did is a testament
to its quality design.

Another reviewer mentioned using these to get the signal from a satellite dish into the house. I would use caution
with this application...most satellite systems also send a DC voltage down the cable to power the electronics out at the dish.
Not knowing how these are insulated inside the white sleeve it is possible to have a short circuit which could damage the receiver.

Great for outside antenna.
