Nice Pitcher!
LAM✓ Verified PurchaseJune 20, 2018
Just got my pitcher today! I'm super excited.

First, it came in great condition. No issues, no sharp edges, nothing broken. It appears to be sturdy. Looks nice as well.

Second, I washed it immediately, and let it dry.

Third, I filled up the pitcher with purified water. Added some blackberries and raspberries. I left it in the fridge for about 5 hours. I did not taste the flavor, so we figured maybe I should cut the berries. I didn't cut them the first time because I figured I didn't need to. I'll try the water tomorrow morning.

**fingers crossed**
Great Idea, low quality.

This item didn't last 6 months. Spider cracks on the lid prompted an exchange after several days, the replacement did the exact same thing within weeks. Cracks then appeared around the rim and later at the bottom causing the pitcher to leak. This item was only cleaned by hand and never put in the dishwasher or handled in any adverse way. Infusing is a fabulous process for flavoring all kinds' of liquids, unfortunately this item isn't the pitcher to do it with.
Use Very Gently

I am extremely disappointed with the Prodyne Fruit Infuser. After three short months, the plastic ring on the lid that holds the infuser broke off. I never put it in the dishwasher, and it has only been gently washed by hand a few times. So now it is impossible to screw the infuser to the lid. I can still use it by letting the infuser float around inside of the pitcher, but the water gets into the infuser, causing the fruit to get mushy. It doesn't look so lovely on the table with the infuser floating around inside of it which was one of the reasons why I bought it in the first place; I thought it was a nice serving piece. If I wanted mushy fruit just floating around in a pitcher, I already had the technology without spending $20. Not well-made at all and a waste of money. Amazon has asked me to contact the company for a remedy, so we will see what happens. SINCE I WROTE THIS REVIEW, THE COMPANY SENT ME A NEW LID WITH THE WARNING THAT THE INFUSER NOT BE SCREWED TOO TIGHTLY ONTO THE LID. So far, so good. I'm still only giving it three stars because the pitcher should come with instructions stating such.
Works ok, but some glaring design flaws.

I like the concept of this infusion pitcher, but it has two big deficiencies that keep me from giving it a higher grading.

1, because it's ovoid and not circular the lid can't be twisted to "seal" the spout when you put it away. I have to remember to leave a couple of inches of splash room at the top of the pitcher to avoid spilling water all over my refrigerator, floor and/or self when taking it out.

2, unlike other infusion pitchers I've seen, the lid can't be unscrewed to allow you to pour water directly over the infusion ingredients when filling the pitcher - the preferred method for flavor extraction. Instead the infusion tube screws into the bottom of the lid, and you have to either submerge it into an already full pitcher of water or hold it at an angle while filling the pitcher so that the water at least bumps against the infusion ingredients as it's added.
Adding Flavor to Our Lives with the Prodyne Fruit Infusion Flavor Pitcher!

I LOVE water! I can't think of anything better than an ice cold class of water after working outside or being busy and on the go all day long. I drink so much water that sometimes it can get rather "boring". Think about it, what does water taste like "¦ boring. To keep myself from getting bored and turning to unhealthier options, I like to add cucumber, lemon, or lime to my water just to change up the taste. I have tried other things like strawberries and blackberries but unfortunately they tend to break down and leave a bunch of pieces in the water; this isn't always a bonus. Think seeds!

Since I like to change up my water, I decided to look into an infuser system and that is when I found the Prodyne Fruit Infusion Flavor Pitcher. I simply cut up my fruit or veggie, my infuser, of choice, add it to the cylinder that goes down into the pitcher, and then let it sit for a period of time while it works its magic a.k.a. the infusion process takes place. I have found it best to leave the pitcher sitting in the refrigerator overnight as that allows all of the natural juices time to seep into the water BUT that is just my preference.

Lemons, cucumbers, lime, strawberries, mint; the possibilities are endless. Hmmm, okay, maybe not endless as I don't think it would really work with something like lettuce or cheese. Yeah, definitely not cheese. Anyways, the end result is a refreshing glass of flavored water without added sugars or coloring and thankful not seeds or fruit pieces.

OH! I forgot to mention that the pitcher is acrylic. That makes it easy to use not only in the kitchen but on the patio, by the pool, at a picnic. The pitcher holds up to 93 ounces which makes it perfect for any gathering. Just let your imagination be your guide and let the infusion begin!
