Love My Senseo And The Coffeeduck is Indispensable.
Yolanda F. DoveDecember 2, 2016
Works great in my Senseo. I have had my coffee maker for almost 8 years and having a coffee duck is a necessity for me. This is my third one that I have purchased and all of them have held up well. Just more convenient to have a few on hand in case one or two is in the dishwasher. I highly recommend them!

So glad to be using my Senseo again! It's awesome to have a reusable Coffeeduck!
The only difference missing is that there's no frothy foam like when I used the coffee pods...
An Excellent Coffee Pod Substitute for the Senseo Coffee Maker System
Amazon CustomerAugust 20, 2015
This "coffee pod replacement" works perfectly well. It allows me to use my own favorite coffees, saves me (lots of) money, and is very easy to use. I still buy pre-packaged coffee pods for family members, but I use this one almost exclusively so I can make my own coffee blends. I have made one small improvement to it that I find makes an even better cup of coffee. I gently separated the material holding the coffee in a coffee pod, creating two separate round sheets. I lay the flatter one of them over the top of my coffee after I add it to the coffeeDuck, put on the filter lid, and put it into my Senseo system. It keeps the very tiny amount of grounds that might escape completely contained within the CoffeeDuck. (In fact, I would recommend to the maker that they add something like that to their product.)

By the way, I use the finest grind of coffee I can buy or make, the "Turkish" grind.
Well Worth the Price

I love that I am able to use the coffee I want in my Senseo machine, now, and I have not had the issues with leaking that others have described. Though filling it and ensuring a clean mating surface between the filter and the plastic screen isn't as convenient as the pod setup, the cost savings and the ability to use whatever coffee (and as much or as little of it as one wishes) outweighs, for me, the convenience of the pods.

My one concern (ergo four stars rather than five) is based on the overall quality - it isn't nearly as stout as the original Senseo pod holders. I fear that, at some point, I'll end up breaking it where the plastic "duck bill" meets the stainless steel coffee "portafilter," for lack of a better word for it. If it had a more solid feel, it would absolutely warrant five stars. When this one does finally give up the ghost, I will likely purchase another.
Works Fabulously - Troubleshooting Included in Review

I got my Coffeeduck as an early Christmas present to myself. I will say, bar none, when used with the Senseo maker it helps to enhance any coffee flavor-wise, not strength-wise. I've used this with basic Folgers and plan on buying beans and a burr to grind my own. It's economical as a tablespoon and a half will make an 18oz cup of coffee that's better than coffee from any coffee joint. Compared to the Keurig, the way the Senseo/Coffeeduck steam the grounds help a lot to preserve flavor and release the full depth of your coffee. I have had a LOT of the same issues that users have reported, however I had the patience to work through them and find the cause of the issue and solution on my own. Without further ado, here is my unofficial troubleshooting guide to the Coffeeduck:

Water Leakage from Pod Area
Immediately stop the brew process by pressing the power button. Grounds have gotten under the screen lip and prevented a good seal. Remove the Coffeeduck from the brewer, grounds and all in it and take it to the sink, lift the screen, and wipe away any excess grounds where the screen connects with the metal lip. Rinse top screen off. Take a paper towel and wipe top metal round part on Senseo brewer and all inners where the Coffeeduck sits. Place Coffeeduck back in. Issue should be resolved. I've been using large ground Folgers type coffee so far. This may not be an issue with smaller grounds. This issue happens to me often when I am wanting a quick cup and don't pay close attention to the screen and grounds - just be careful of those things and this shouldn't happen.

Loud Sounds/Brewer Shaking and Brew Fail
Check Coffeeduck alignment within the brewer. Press Coffeeduck to be sure it is sitting snugly inside it. Rebrew.
