Very well constructed. Metal parts smooth and well assembled. Filter fits tightly and is easy to attach. Bought this and the replacement filters for a vintage vacuum coffee maker. It fits well and operates perfectly. Very pleased. I did stretch the spring a little for my use as I didn't want to take any chances with the old glass.
