Good construction. Works well
JasonDecember 17, 2017
Arrived in working order. Good construction. Works well. Liked the instructions that included photos. For a beginner like me it would have been good if the instructions had said to slip the string on the bow before putting on the bow stringer but I figured it out pretty quickly. :)
Slow, but Safer

This is my first stringer. There is not as much mechanical advantage as expected, but once I found the right stance (feet VERY wide apart, I'm 5' 8"), it worked. As a hunter and bowyer for more than 33 yrs, I'm more accustomed to stringing and letting down a bow without such aids. But, the recurve that I use most often is becoming more difficult to dig the string out of the groove during let down. After two separate whacks to my body from the tip slipping out of my hand, I knew something had to be done. Stringers still are not my preferred method, they are awkward, slow and another piece of equipment to carry and keep track of (I have a minimalist attitude), BUT, in this case, they make the process safer.
It was basically just me fumbling around for a good grip for 15 min

Bought this for my 50# recurve. The bow came in first, and I was curious just how difficult it would be without a stringer. It was impossible to do solo. It was basically just me fumbling around for a good grip for 15 min. until I gave up. With this it literally took seconds, and it was super simple. Not only do I recommend, but I'll never try to string a longbow or recurve without one again.
Possibly the best and easiest bow stringer you could get.

Personally I think its probably the best and most safe style stringer out there. Its well constructed and easy to use. The bottom sleeve is made out of thick nylon style material and is well stitched together. The areas that might get the most 'stress' when being used are double stitched. The top limb 'boot' is made from rubber that grips and conforms to the curvature of the back/belly side of the top limb. The rope is black paracord which I personally think is the perfect material to use. If for some reason you abuse the string and it wears in areas (possibly where you step on it) then it can easily be replace with some more.

Its one of those products that could last a long time if taken care of properly. I also like that after I wrap the cord around the nylon sleeve I can then take the rubber boot part and tuck it up into the pocket and it holds the whole thing together and wrapped up.
works just fine

I am just starting out in archery, and I bought this with my 40-lb recurve bow. It works just fine, no trouble. Follow the directions, but it is pretty intuitive. I recommend this to anyone just starting out in recurve archery.
