A 'must have' in our spice rack.

WHAT? It comes in a big size? YES! Spike Seasoning by Gaylord Hauser is considered a must have in our home. We use it on popcorn, rice, soups, stews and (my son says) all vegetables (although I don't go that far). It's hard to find and we always hated making special trips to seek out the small jars. I used to buy it as stocking stuffers for my husband! No longer thanks to the big box ! We transferred it to a large shaker and it has a home in the front of the spice rack!

I have been using spike for over thirty years and love it as a salt substitute. I use it on everything that would have salt on it. I once couldn't get it at a health food store down south and tried a product they recommended. It was awful so I threw it out and went looking for a store that carried it. It has more than just a salty taste with all the herbs in it. Plus the salt has iodine in it for your thyroid. Try it and I think you will like it.

Been using Spike for 40 years (holy cow!), since I worked a summer job at the Organic Porcupine health food store and it's still one of the best seasonings out there. Read the ingredient list - no ten-syllable words, just good honest stuff. Try it on baked or broiled salmon or chicken, or add it to salad or veggie dishes instead of salt.
Nothing compares to the orginal Spike!

I have used Spike for probably 30 years or more. Sometimes its hard to find. So when I saw this bigger package, I jumped at the chance to buy it. Sprinkle a little on popcorn with brewers yeast and you have healthier popcorn that almost taste cheesy. I use it on everything. The lid fell off once and dumped a bunch in the mashed potatoes. We will never make mashed potatoes again without our Spike! My whole family uses it now, we still love it.

I was first introduced to Spike in 1979 & have used it in ALL of my cooking since then. People outside of my Family always ask what my secret ingredient is! Spike really adds a burst of flavor to food!
