My boards just arrived and they are beautiful. The do not smell, they are smooth, they clearly state not to put them in the dishwasher or to soak them and to oil them on a regular basis. For my household they are just the right size. The reason I stated all that is because I read the reviews after I ordered them and nearly cancelled my order which would have been a shame.
The people that wrote those negative reviews probably wash their Manolo Blahnik shoes in the washer and wonder why they are in pieces when they are dry.
I will now massage my boards with my special beeswax and canola oil treatment (all edible) and enjoy them for the rest of my life.

I love these. I bought first set back in 2012, still going strong. Washed regularly, used almost daily. Never broken (ahem, don't put in dishwasher, microwave or oven folks!) or cracked. Just bought another set, and recommended to friends for gifts for years. Love them. Was happy they were still available 5 years later (they must be doing something right, right?). I use the small one as a coffee mug holder on my work desk. I use the larger one for cutting veggies, steak, chicken skin off raw meat, cutting veggies, etc. -- really great product. Not sure where the folks with negative reviews are getting their stuff, I bought two from Amazon, with zero hassle. Arrived perfect shape.

I bought a replacement set to replace a set that had given good service (same brand). One of the new boards arrived with a manufacturing defect, during sanding they created a groove across one of the boards. The Totally Bamboo website bragged about the quality of their customer service. My experience belied their claim. They never responded to an e.mail I sent three weeks ago using the contact facility on their website. If I were reviewing my original set, this would be a 5 star review, I bought the same product as a replacement. But their quality control that allowed an obviously defective be sent to a customer and the total lack of response makes the one star generous. I was transformed from a person who DID buy their product again to a person who will not buy from them again.
Three useful cutting boards... easy to clean and strong ...good at resisting cutting marks from constant contact with a knife.

Strong and easy to clean with just soap and water. We use them at least 5 times a day for cutting / chopping carrots, meat like chicken, celery, strawberries, blueberries, chopping nuts and everything else. We always wash them or rinse them after use and never just let them sit in water. The first thing I did when they arrived was to give them a coating of palm or coconut oil and then wiping off the excess. The color became more rich and the bamboo protected from stains. No issues with swelling or cracking like some others reported.

These cutting boards are terrible. After washing the large board once it became very dry and a split formed directly down the center of the board. After using the board a few more times the crack has worsened and the board has almost split in half ( no joke... it's on it's last legs). The fact that it split like this after less than a week is an absolute disgrace. I would never consider buying these boards again. They may have been cheap, but are certainly not quality. If they needed to be treated with mineral oil before use that should have been specified clearly when purchasing the boards.
