Good device, helps keeps splashed and sprayed moisture out, though condensation would be another mater - but I haven't had that problem so far. It could help in areas where there are constant showers due to sprinklers and such but keep in mind that your cords should have a drip loop at connections anyway, if you don't know about that already, do some research online. This will not waterproof the connections, if water can flow with the cord line it can result in a short to ground if it got to the plug connectors.

unfortunately, the power cord I had used a right angle connector and so did not fit inside this container. That said, it did seem to take the standard cord ok and seemed to screw-connect well but can't say at the moment whether it is waterproof.

K&H Manufacturing Lectro-Kennel Igloo Style Outdoor Heated Pad Black
covered by a K&H Manufacturing Lectro-Kennel & Lectro-Soft Igloo Style Heated Pad Deluxe Cover. Then I put a Petmate Indigo Dog House Pad underneath a Doskocil Indigo Quilted Pad. I used a roll of Strenco 2" Self Adhesive Hook and Loop 5 feet Sticky Back Tape Fabric Fastener to fasten the Petmate Indigo Dog House Pad to the floor of the Dog House "“ cut into three 1 foot strips and one 2 foot strip (front portion before the heated pad). I used another roll to fasten the pad to the Doskocil Indigo Quilted Pad "“ cut into two 2 foot strips and one 1 foot strip. The concept is that the Petmate pad is too fragile, so the quilted pad protects it, and that the pad provides the extra padding that the quilted pad does not. Also, the velcro prevents the pads from being pulled out of the doghouse. Finally, I used the Farm Innovators Model CC-2 Cord Connect Water-Tight Cord Lock - Green for the cord of the heated pad, which has to come out of the front door.

I was looking for a way to protect the point at which the cord from my outdoor fountain joins the extension cord that leads to the outlet. Ladies and gentlemen, this is PERFECT. I had no idea such a thing existed, so am glad to have it. This works for any outdoor application where you would need an extension cord.
Locks cables together ok but is NOT waterproof

Keeps your cables locked together well enough but is NOT waterproof. Ok for dry weather but I wouldn't use it in snow, rain or mud. I much prefer the one from Hot Headz, which seals up way better and has a smooth exterior that doesn't catch as easily on posts and blocks when moving your cables around.
