If you need a cane, why not have a FUN cane!

This is a nice sturdy cane, with a comfortable handle. It adjusted perfectly to my 5'2" height, and doesn't make any noise when I'm walking. I have an old beat up cane shaped like this, a year old, that has several bolts in it and duct tape to keep it at the right height and quiet. I use the old one for walking around the dirt roads of our subdivision. I use this wonderful new one as my "Sunday go to meeting" cane. I took it on a 3 week tour to China where we walked about 3 miles a day, and lots of uneven steps. It was perfect and kept me on my feet. My only quibble is that I wear out the rubber tip really fast and have to replace them fairly often. Amazon price beats all the other places I looked, plus PRIME shipping. I got the colorful purple and pink flowers.
Nice Cane

Great cane doesn't look like an old ladies cane. (I'm 42)'. Only use it occasionally around the house but that's not because of any defect with the cane. I am recovering from multiple open fractions to my leg and open dislocations to my knee and talus as well as muscle and skin grafts after an auto accident and I'm just physically not ready to go out of the house with the cane. On good days when I feel I can tolerate more weight on my leg the cane gives me the extra stability I need while hopefully strengthening my leg a little (it's too easy to let crutches take the weight) That said I am well over 200 pounds and due to the severity of my injury probably put more weight onto the cane than most people would and it is holding up fine.
It's attractive as well as adjustable

I don't usually use a cane but when I broke my kneecap the doctor said I either needed crutches or a cane, so I chose the latter. The only canes I had ever seen were either black, brown, or aluminum in color none of which appealed to me. I looked online for hours before I saw the NOVA. It comes in a lot of colors and I didn't have any problem finding one that I liked. I got the red with little blue, yellow, and white flowers, but it comes in a lot of different colors. If I was going to need a cane indefinitely I'd probably buy a few more because it was only $20. Even better, the handle is thickly padded so it doesn't hurt my hand, AND it can be adjusted to a lot of different heights. The problem with a lot of canes is that they have to be cut to work properly for the user, but this cane's many choices make it easy to try different heights until you find the one that is right for you.
Nice design.

In my next life I'm going to design cool medical supplies and devices like this cane. I recently had complete hip replacement surgery - something that is becoming more common with us baby boomers and not just the geriatric set. The problem is that canes, walkers, splints and bandages are still very sterile in design and appearance.

That's why I love this cane - it adheres to a traditional sensible design and quality construction but it has a very hip moon and stars design. The aluminum construction makes it strong yet light, the loop on the end is great for hanging the cane (as opposed to leaning it agains something, where it will inevitably fall to the floor) and the crook in the handle is not only a great ergonomic design, it is great for holding the cane from the bottom end around and using it to pull items toward you, e.g. shoes, books, clothes, etc.
Good support

I chose this style with the offset because there is less pressure on the shoulder. I would recommend it for anyone who needs support and security from falling. I call it my good leg.
