Works great on my Dewalt DW 716

I have had this unit is storage for several years (I don't remember why I replaced it) but recently I replaced my cheaper miter saw with a DW716 Dewalt. I think proceeded to buy a special laser setup made by Dewalt in China. Long story short, it wouldn't work with my 'Type 20' DW 716 even though there was no information on that on the package or any of the advertising (Had to call Dewalt to find this out).
Anyway, pulled this out of the drawer and accidently dropped it a few inches and the laser lit. So, not knowing whether it would fir my Dewalt, I tried installing - perfect fit and when I fired it up with a line marked on a piece of scrap is was dead on.
Bottom line, for something so cheap it seems to be fairly universal and evidently, stored in a relatively cool environment, the batteries seem to last for quite a while.

Where have this laser adapter been all my life - I LOVE THIS THING. I'm finishing our basement and using contractors when necessary - I purchased this for my Hitachi Mitre saw - and it works GREAT!!!!! I was shocked at the accuracy - it's spot on. My framer used my mitre saw
one day to avoid unloading his mega one from the truck and he was amazed as well - could not shut up about it in fact - he loved it so I bought one for him as a "thank you" - he was very greatful and immediately started using it on his saw - says it has been very helpful for making very precise cuts once you get use to using it - now you can just mark the wood and forget the square line - mark and cut. Saves time and you get very accurate cuts. I just love this product.

Works perfectly on my miter saw station and comes with an extra set of batteries. Well made product and for the price I can't recommend it high enough. I bought 3 of them and have since getting it (yesterday) only put it on my miter saw, but intend to try to put it on my worm drive saw (an old 1966 model). It says that it will not work on a radial arm saw (which is true....unless you use a bushing / drill jig (homemade in my case) to drill the hole out a bit larger. The only other issue that I can think of that MIGHT come up is that it might interfere with some blade guards and or PERHAPS if the saw manufacturer used some non-standard blade mounting system it could make it difficult to put it on the saw. No problems that I can see yet though and the centrifugal on/off switch works perfectly!

This is an amazing little device to have attached to your radial arm saw. It is reasonably accurate and extremely easy to install. I only gave it 4 stars because the laser beam intensity is very faint. It is virtually impossible to see if you are working outdoors. It would be awesome if Oshlun could ramp up the brightness of the laser beam for those of us with older eyes. Still it is a very nice addition to my Craftsman.

I purchased a Hitachi C10FCE2 15-Amp 10-inch Single Bevel Compound Miter Saw without a laser guide. It was an big mistake after attempting to cut crown molding. WOW! what a difference this guide makes! I was blown away! It helps me make perfectly measured cuts on my saw. Yes, it could be brighter, but 90% of my work is done in my garage, not outside at a job site. It did install easily and the blade does not block the laser.
