I do like the product; nothing to rave about for sure but both of mine just died. Odd. I have no choice but to purchase again, unless I see a better alternative.
TOP Aquarium Heater!

Great heater!! Just FYI you need a heat controller to use this! I didn't know that when I bought it, but just went down to petco and got a reptile heat controller, works great! It's in my 150+ gallon aquaponics setup and it heats it easily and quickly!! Maintains a perfect 74 degrees with ease!

All I can say is this heater works awesome. Over the many years I have been in the hobby and the numerous heaters I have used this is definitely the best to date. I have a 300 gallon saltwater tank with a total water volume of roughly 500 gallons and this heater does the trick while being used through my Apex controller.
So far so good, high quality.

I had another companies 1000w heater that died after +/-18 months. So I decided I'd try the Finnex brand and decided to go with 2 smaller heaters in case one burnt out I'd have a secondary unit already in the system. In my head it makes sense that they might do less work as compared to 1 heater so the lifespan may be longer.... I don't know that for fact it just seems to make sense.
I have both heaters running on my Neptune Apex aquarium controller, and the combination keep my reef within +/- 1 degree of 77. So far so good, hopefully they last longer than 18 mos!
