Keeps the wet out
Chad Matejcek✓ Verified Purchase•August 28, 2017
Used this for a wet week in the BWCA. My sleeping bag and hammock stayed dry the entire time, and I had the side away from the wind perched up like a porch the entire time! It is expensive and takes me more time to set up nicely than my MSR tent. 5 stars because it does its job perfectly.
Dry night in the rain

This is a great tarp. I tested it at the family farm with my ENO JungleNest, Ember underquilt, and Spark topquilt. Easy to set up and the two extra tie-downs only take a minute or so extra, especially since I've got s-biners attached to all of the tie-down points on my MSR Groundhog mini stakes. I spent 14 hours in the pouring rain, and was bone dry the entire time. As some others have noted, there is the possibility of getting wet if the wind is high and the rain is coming down sideways, but if that happens, I recommend simply lowering the tarp height. Having those extra tie-down points is worth it in said wind, though, as the tarp doesn't flap or threaten to tear the stakes out.
As a side note, please remember that this tarp is meant to be light and portable (back- or bikepacking), which is why it's only long/wide enough to cover the hammock. If you need something longer/wider, I'd look at the XL tarp sizes or something from another manufacturer.
The tarp shipped and arrived very quickly, no issues.

Perfect as item listed, just what I was looking for.
It's a nice rain tarp

It's a nice rain tarp...but it's a little short for my liking. I woildve rather it stuck out further on the ends. Of course I live in Florida where there's psychotic sideways rain so if you're not planning to camp in Florida you're probably fine.
