I bought this in January having had good luck with the Tigersharks on my other rigs. This went on a Toyota pickup I use on the beach in Alaska and around work. I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I have unstuck this truck, 6000# forklifts, a Bobcat skid steer, many times with this winch. No snatch block, 100' continuous pulls, and the motor never gets hot. It's quite noisy, but it is a tested tough winch I can heartily recommend.

Purchased this for my 2016 Jeep JKU, Wasn't sure to go with this 8,500 or a 9,500 winch. Decided on the 8,500 as it weighs around 22 lbs less than the 9500 at around 72 lbs. Going to replace the wire rope with synthetic rope to save a little more weight plus it is safer. Should be more than enough to get me out of just about any situation I might get into.
Very easy install as the solenoid is already placed and wired on the side of the winch. Just had to bolt it to the front bumper and run the wires to the battery.
I didn't use the supplied hawse as I already had an aluminum one on my bumper, The supplied one is painted black and is pretty heavy.
Connected the remote control and it started right up.
Looks to be nicely made.
