Let it grow on you. It's from peas, of course it's gonna seem gross at first. :)

Did it cut the sweetness of my smoothie? Yes. Did it make my smoothie taste like s***? No.
I'm adding this several months later: I've been very happy with mixing Equal (sweetener) with this product @ 1 packet per 18 gram serving, and directly dipping strawberries into the mixture and eating it. Sounds a little strange, but boy is it ever tasty and filling.
This stuff grew on me very quickly.

If your looking for plant based protein powder that isn't sweetened at all. This is a good one. I love that it doesn't have bad tasting stevia in it.
Good stuff!!

Love this stuff. Use it in my morning smoothie which I prepare in a Ninja. I like the taste so much I add a little more when I consume my smoothie. It doesn't stir in well, but I like the taste so much, I continue to add it.

I love it that this is the pure protein powder. Now flavors no sweeteners. I can add a bit to anything. I can add to not sweet things like tomato vegetable smoothie. My favorite is greens, coconut water, half avocado, protein powder and about 2 Tablespoons cashew. This makes a simple plain smoothie. Any other protein powder that I have tried would ruin drinks like this. And still it is good in Smoothies like my chocolate, berry, mint smoothie or other fruit smoothies
True Grit

I am not in love with this. I usually buy the Vitacost brand which is not bad. This one is grittier and doesn't dissolve as easily. It also has a peculiar almost fishy odor. It's more chalky and the taste is more unpalatable than the Vitacost brand.
I have also tried the NOW pea protein which I eventually got used to, but rather than to get used to this, I'm going back to Vitacost.
I prefer to wash dishes by hand and this gritty pea protein gets on the glass and it's difficult to rinse the glass clean so that it doesn't dry with a gritty feel to it. This stuff is persistent and I don't like it though I do generally like the Source Naturals brand.
