I am a licensed cosmetologist and I've tried other brands, like Roux for example, and the fumes are ~terrible~ when trying to apply yourself! this product didn't bother my eyes at all and I was able to do both eyes at once. The first issue I encountered was easy to correct: If you just put both parts in one spot and try to mix, it's very difficult. Well, from past experience with certain brands of hair color, I knew how to correct that! Just add your first product (squeeze tube) and then add just a drop or two of the second and mix. After it's mixed, add the rest of the drops of the second product and it becomes smooth and creamy. The only other issue I had is the applicator options. The rod doesn't hold enough product and the wand is too widely spaced for my thin, short lashes. I kept wishing there was something in between. Will purchase again as I am sure I can find an applicator I prefer.

So the first time I applied this, I must've missed in the directions on how long to keep the dye on for (it says 10 minutes - I maybe left it on for 2), and it didn't really take. The second time, I had alot better luck. I did one eye at a time, both top and bottom, and really globbed it on there in order to get the base of my lashes, and everything covered. This worked perfectly, although it does sting a bit when wiping it off, but it doesn't last long. I was still able to see while the dye was setting and played on my phone while I was waiting. The initial color is much more blue than I expected, since other reviews just said this is the darkest black. However, I have white eyelashes, so this could be why it looked more blue on me.

Overall, I am REALLY happy with this dye. My lashes are so white, they're basically non-existent. With this I can go without mascara and still feel put together (although it doesn't lengthen or make lashes any fuller fyi). So especially for people with pale lashes I highly recommend! I'm not sure how long it claims to last but mine started fading after a little over 2 weeks, but I washed my face and used products alot.

I took away a star simply because it is messy, and does sting eyes a bit.

I am so sensitive to mascara. I've tried ton's of sensitive mascara, allergy free, etc. nothing works for me. I started getting my lashes tinted at the salon at $30 a pop. Found this product on Amazon and thought I'd give it a try. Don't follow the directions to lay down and do it. Have warm wash cloth and qtips handy. Wash eye area before you start. Apply Vasoline to under eyes and lid line. Use mascara wand included to apply to lashes. Mix is a little difficult you just got to keep adding developer until you get a good consistency. Apply carefully. Have wash cloth and qtips ready to clean off any excess on lids and under eye. Works fantastic and I get the same results I do from the salon for a fraction of the cost and easy to use. I highly recommend.

I can not say enough about how much I loved this product! I hate wearing make up because I work out a lot and rub my eyes constantly. I bought the blue/black color because other reviews said it was darkest and when I squeezed out the product it was intimidatingly blue. Once applied it is the perfect shade of black!!! I have red hair and so have fair lashes (not where they are invisible but on a lightness scale of 1-10 my lashes are probably a 4) so this product definitely gives me the affect of wearing mascara! That being said I dont know if this would help give the same effect to someone with darker hair. It was very easy to use and came with everything you need! The only other item I needed was vaseline to put above and under my lashes so the dye wouldn't stain my skin. I speak highly of this product because it was easy to use and for the amount of product you receive it is an excellent price!!

Loved this stuff! Only bought because Roux discontinued theirs. I'm so thankful because this one is MUCH better. I have very sparse brows, so dyes always get on my skin, this one does not stain. With Roux that was always what took so long, removing the stain afterwards. I am so glad I was forced to change brands. Highly recommended. I only got it for brows. I'm blonde and dark brown was perfect!!
