My little 5.5lb Harry (Chihuahua) is very particular about what car seats. After returning 3 different ones he wouldn't even consider getting in, he loved this one. It's high enough for the little guy to sit and see everything around him. He doesn't sutvon my left shoulder as much anymore since I got the seat a month ago.
I love the spacious drawer beliw the seat where I store his harness, leash and water bowl. So glad I got this one.

Not for use in my Miata.

Quality seat, but doesn't work with the sports seats in my Miata because they are slanted.
Good purchase, minor issues. Would buy again.

Previously, I had a "bucket style" carseat for my spoiled Miniature Pinscher, Sadie. That bucket-style caused my new car's leather to rip due to the amount of strain the seatbelt caused on the leather. I also was unhappy with the dangerous support bars on that bucket-seat. See my customer images for the style of bucket-seating to see what unit I was replacing with this Snoozer.
Looking for a replacement that would not damage leather seats, I found this product. I have had this product for approximately three months and use it daily, so I feel like I have enough experience with it to accurately review it. I purchased the size SMALL. Sadie is approximately ten pounds and is a full-blooded Min Pin. She's approximately 16 inches from neck to tail-base.
The seatbelt goes in the back of the seat, securing the base to your car's seat. Without adjustments, the Snoozer will sink back at an angle. This made me nervous and looked uncomfortable for Sadie. so I used an old leather cushion under the seat to re-angle the seat. The seatbelt goes underneath the main cushion. The main cushion fits inside the shell; however, I did roll up a blanket (visible in one of my pics) and wedge it between the cushion and the shell to prevent a large gap.
This product is very comfortable for my pet. When the seat is removed from the car, she still chooses it over her bed. I frequently have to remove the seat (I drive a company car and have to change out cars frequently), and the Snoozer is very light and easy to reinstall.
The drawer is a very nice feature but don't expect to use it frequently. In my experience, the door sticks because it's slightly misshapen (it's plastic) and requires two hands for me to get the drawer open. I keep infrequently-used supplies and emergency things in there.
The Snoozer shipped with a seatbelt tether, and instructions indicated to attach the tether to the lapbelt, but I attached the tether to the shoulder part of the seatbelt instead. The tether used as instructed will keep your dog on her bed and that's it. My spoiled dog insists on hanging her paws out the window, so I had to adjust my plans accordingly. Even though the tether's location allows more freedom, it's still too short to allow her to fall out the window in case of an accident. This is for MY car only. Other cars might not have the same designs so please take that into account.
Minor complaints:
1. The sides of the Snoozer could be little sturdier. I see other reviewers have dogs that like to rest their heads on the sides, much like my dog does. The sides seem slightly flimsy, being made of foam.
2. I wish the seat had a better designed, angled, base that didn't cause the seat to tilt backward at an angle.
3. I wish the cushion was slightly larger to prevent gaps around the edges.
All in all, Sadie loves her Snoozer. She can sit up on her hind legs like a little human and look out the window and I like that she has her own spot in my car, and is safe.

Works like a charm keeping her off me while driving

Got the booster seat last week and the dog is getting used to it. Works like a charm keeping her off me while driving. I like that the pillow can be removed and she can sit or lie down in it like a little nest with her blanket. I can't bring it in the house because the cats would be all over it. We get comments everywhere we go.
Love it!!

I have three small dogs all under 9 lbs and the 6 pounder likes to look out the window, now he can lay down and look out the window. For some reason he is much calmer when he's on this. Well worth the money.
