Very happy with this buy. This was to replace a cheap off brand that barely worked. This is 100x better, and I'll be buying Superwinch from here on out. Works just as good as my expensive Warn too. The instructions aren't very specific but if you have any kind of mechanical/electrical knowledge you can have this installed within an hour.
Just make sure there's a tree nearby

I installed this winch on my Honda 4x4 ATV. I know I probably overdid it, but I strapped my ATV to a tree and helped winch my dad's 7000lb tractor out of a mud pit. No, the winch didn't do all the work, but it sure helped. It's also pulled my ATV out of the mud more times than I care to admit. It works well. All the bells and whistles are a nice touch too.

This winch is garbage. It was mounted and used once to ensure correct wiring. The ATV then was garaged and not used for a week. When I went to use the atv the winch would not go out. It would only reel in making it very tight. My mechanic looked at it stated it has a bad control module. Super winch told me they will not warrantee it but I could buy a new part for $45. Unacceptable on a brand new winch. Would not recommend this to anyone.

This is a very nice winch, one of the best of the inexpensive winches. I had to order a KFI winch mounting plate for my 2011 Polaris Sportsman to install this as the mounting plate that's was included did not fit my ATV. I like the features of this winch with a handlebar switch and a corded remote. The wiring diagram was clear enough for the included relay and wiring harness. I'm satiisfisfied with my purchase. After I had everything installed it all mounted up nice and tight.
If possible it would be 3 1/2 star rating!

Purchased 11.2015 to assist with pulling wheelchair into van when conditions are slippery, etc. So it has been used infrequently. Winch mechanics are fine. Hand control is a problem. It has stopped functioning twice in the last 3 months. I disassembled it each time. I found the contact rocker mechanism out of place the first time. The second time it appears the contacts are pitted/carboned up from arcing. So a new bat handle, heavy duty, switch is installed.
Switch quality was not worthy of a full 2 star reduction in rating. The winch works fine when switch works.
