Ideal for a computer on the move...

I often have to do presentations and prefer my 17-inch Dell laptop over my tablet. This is an ideal way to transport the computer without adding much weight. Very well designed for its purpose with lots of places for folders, cords, and other things that have to go and be easily available. So glad I added it to my computer order. I feel better knowing my computer is protected in transit.

I have been using this bag for somewhere around 4 years. It had been an amazing bag, especially for the price. It has tons of storage room. In my bag I have 2 external hard drives, 5 flash drives, a 10-ft HDMI cable, lots of other cables for my phone, ipod, etc., a digital recorder and batteries, and that's all in the small front storage compartment. There are 2 other pouches that I keep papers and the computer cord in (with lots of room to spare. I even carried 2 laptops in the computer compartment for a short time (though they were a snug fit). I would highly recommend this bag.

I haven't used it yet, but it seems like it will work like I want it to. It doesn't look super heavy duty, but I don't plan to use it for world travel or anything like that. All of the stitching and other construction looks to be of good quality. Toshiba Satellite 17.3" Laptop fits perfectly. I wish it had a fold down flap so that I could just unzip and use my computer while still in/on the case, but not this one. You have to take the computer completely out of the case from the top. Also the latch that holds the flap closed seems a little awkward, it's a hook rather than a latch, but probably has less to go wrong with it. I think it will work fine to protect the computer under normal "careful" use. I wouldn't expect it to protect if rugged handling is expected.

I like this bag because it is sleek and simple. I have received many compliments while in business meetings from others who like how slim the bag is. I can easily fit my laptop, iPad, a notebook, some pens, wallet, keys, business cards, and phone. I selected this bag because it was one of only a few bags that would fit my 17.5" laptop. This bag fits the laptop perfectly. I have no need for the other wider, bulkier bags since I do not need to carry files or any other equipment.
I have one complaint with this bag - they did not factor in the space needed for a bulky power cord/box. When I put the cord in the bag it has a noticeable bulge in it. This bulge also makes the bag slightly harder to clasp close because the flap protrudes out. You would be able to put the cord in the same compartment of the laptop if yours is smaller but since mine is so large I have to put the cord in the other pocket with the folders/notebooks. It is not a deal breaker though, I still really like the bag.

For the price this is a nice case, the reviews here on amazon are fairly acurate. It fit my huge 7.8 lb 17 inch desktop replacement laptop (hp elitebook 8740w) the power supply and a mouse, but it doesnt have much extra space after that.
The shoulder strap is the only weak link, it broke almost immediately. I was sort of expecting the strap to break at this budget level, and I ordered a "Skooba Design Skooba Superbungee Strap". I will still save some money going this route (expensive strap/cheap case) so im satisfied.
