I'm giving this a 4 star rating not because I didn't like it. I did !! It's to point out that there are Pepper lovers out there who are disappointed that this was a 2 oz can and the salt is much larger. This is a great add to BBQ sauce or a just grilled steak.

We love this stuff and order it often for ourselves and gifts. It has a great flavor and heat. It's the most important ingredient in my homemade breakfast sausage (1 lb ground pork, 1 tsp dried sage, 3/4 tsp fine salt, and 1 tbsp bourbon smoked pepper). We also enjoy it on grilled steak and chicken.

my favorite local goods market stopped selling my favorite smoked pepper. this adds a great smoke flavor to my steaks. it adds the depth of flavor like meat cooked on a charcoal or wood grill but in the quickness of my propane grill. i pretty much get this for gifts for all of my grilling friends and family.

Quite disappointed, and threw this product out, due to busy schedule and not meeting deadline for return. As many have stated, very poor lid tightening. I remain critical of company for ignoring so many complaints about this lack of basic feature. I did not discern any type of bourbon flavor, but rather an overwhelming artificial smokey flavor, so much so that it overwhelmed what could have been a nice fresh pepper kick.
