This is my fist Möbius model and wow, really impressed so far.
I am only about half way through build but so far it is excellent.
The level of detail is impressive and fit is top notch!
Here is her current state with a coat of Vallejo plate mail metalic primer. Will post more as build proceeds.

Update and lost star.
1) part 9 was from previous version of kit. Had to remove old mount stud
2) allot of ejector pins in hanger bays that had to be trimmed so floor would fit

Second pic with base coat of Vallejo Steel (71.065)

Update

Finished and very happy aside from slight fit issues mentioned above
Go for the finished model

The model is OK, however there are some strange inconsistencies. Firstly; the flight pod assembly has 3 "pegs" that slide into corrisponding holes for assembly. However the hanger deck decal does not have 3 holes to accommodate the pegs, so you will be challenged when trying to put on those decals. Second; the "alligator head" is slightly off. Where the top of the "head" should be flush with the rest of the upper hull, it is not, and sticks up in an incorrect way. For BSG fans this will be bothersome as accuracy is everything. My biggest warning is the decals themselves; they are the ones that you have to soak in water in order to be able to place, and are very easy to break. The directions also seem not to completely match the model itself.

My recommendation is to buy the finished model. The alligator head will likely still be "strange", but you won't have to go through the hassle of building and painting. It is an OK model but Moebius should look into making some corrections.
Great model!

This Moebius model is of very good quality. I loved watching the newer Battlestar Galactiva series and have even rewatched it a few times. I saw this model on Amazon and instantly wanted to purchase it.

Putting it together is not too difficult. It looks nice and the pieces are nicely made. The decals that comes with it are not sticky - they are the water & press type of decal.

This model is great and I would highly recommend it!
Almost perfect.

While this has been my first model in a few years, I've overall enjoyed building this. I'm a huge fan of the show and getting to know the ship itself better was fun. Would I get this model again? Yep. Will I get Pegasus next? Yup. But I'd like to warn any new purchasers about a couple of details.

There seems to have been a change in design for this model after its first production, and this has led to some issues I've had to solve myself. The first being that inside the two flight pods there are now three columns that are not shown in the instructions or any reviews I've seen from when this first came out. While this doesn't cause too many issues, it does mean that the landing strip decals that come with the model won't fit by themselves as they were made assuming there is just a flat surface. I solved this by simply cutting holes in the appropriate spots, but I feel like the production company should have taken this into account and re-designed their decals to at least give guiding marks for where to cut.

The second issue I ran into was with the attachment of the head to the main body. There is a little nub meant to latch into a slot in the main body, however with the re-design there doesn't seem to be a way to make these parts fit as intended as there is a raised lip preventing this. The only solution I found for this problem was to cut off the nub completely and rely on the other sections to support the head.

The base of the model was also extremely difficult for me to paint the letters. I honestly don't know who could paint that section other than people who write your name on a grain of rice.

I would invite Moebius to take a look at this design and fix these issue for future builders as they seem almost amateur-hour to overlook.

Moebius makes very well detailed very accurate scale models. The assembly for the most part was straight out of the box with minor fit issues. At the landing bays there were some gaps that needed to be filled and sanding was tricky because I didn't want to lose or damage any of the ribs that run vertically along the structures. There is a "step" where the front fuselage meets the main fuselage that is not supposed to be there. It is supposed to be even from front to end. Had I discovered this earlier in the build I would have corrected that. When I was a kid I used to add lights to my models which I would remove from old toys. This is my first attempt since I was a kid at adding lights and I was very pleased with the results. The LED's do not come with the kit. I added battle damage and weathered it. This is a very nice representation of the Galactica. This model does not disappoint.
