I really struggles with these knives. Even after sharpening them they seemed dull. If possible, use and electric knife.

You get what you pay for. Knives arrived dull. Even after sharpening for an hour with ceramic and Arkansas Stones, the blades were no sharper. The steel is inferior. Makes sense since they are made in China. You get what you pay for. Sending back for full refund.

Great kit for a beginner or even an avid fishermen. They come sharp and ready to use. The one thing I don't like about the kit is the sharpener isn't the best but it helps a bit. It can grab the blade and can make it jagged. The cutting board is small but it is still nice to have. I took this to the beach and it seems to not be rusting although the sharpener did rust a bit.

I gave this as a gift to my avid fishermen father for Christmas, and he really liked them! The knives came sharp as heck and the case with the mini cutting board is perfect for throwing in his truck and using on the fly. Unfortunately, you do get what you pay for and they are a little cheap, when the filet knife is bent, it doesn't completely come back to shape like a good quality one would. BUT, I bought the kit as an "emergency" fish cleaning set so it is awesome for what it is intended for and my father agrees.

This was a good set. The knives were very sharp and durable.
The cutting board is smaller than I was expecting but we had others so it wasn't a problem. If you are going to be taking this out into the feild it's a good size, but if you are using this at home I would suggest buying a seperate cutting board.
We bought this to replace a pricey broken filet knife we had and the knives in this set were equity sharp.
