First and foremost, my 04 Chevy Silverado has a roll top cover on its 7ft bed and of course the box is at the end of the bed near the cab. I was worried that I didn't see any reviews on this specific subject. With the tailgate down and the tent strapped snuggly to the bed (roll top pushed back in its box) this tent works perfectly with the roll top still in the bed of the truck. It provided a "shelf" when I strapped the tent to the bed of the truck. I highly recommend this product. Easy to set up (even when you find a camping spot at 1 am and are extremely tired).

Just used it for the first time in the desert and it worked great. It was very windy so lots of noise and needed to secure all the straps but otherwise held up well. Tail gate straps were challenging to use as they didn't slip through easily but was not a dealbreaker. Loved being off the ground and having lots of head space to move around. The quality is good not great, concerned about some of the seams at the attachment straps but otherwise seems what I should expect for the price. Way cheaper than a roof top tent and packs up surprisingly easy into the little bag. Looking forward to more trips!

Just got this, shipping/delivery time killer! Tent fits perfect on the truck, hadn't seen one set up on a Tacoma yet so figured I would post up some pics. Super basic set up if you have ever camped in a dome tent. Taking it this week to test for a few days. Going to use this for a beach run from WA back to hometown in Cali.
Nothing negative to say about this but will update after this week and spending a few nights in it.

So far the tent is great! Didn't break anypoles (which was my main concern because of other reviews). I've only set it up and taken it down once so far, will be putting it up again soon to spray water repellent on it (it says it is but just in case/never hurts).

I put it together outside of the truck like you would a normal tent, the instructions are extremely basic (color coordination) which also made it easy... Once it was up, we moved it to the truck bed, and it fit in perfectly.

I gave the durability 4 stars because while tightening one of the straps broke. Easy fix, but non the less.

UPDATE! 21JAN2020

This tent is FANTASTIC, we have used it multiple times now, each time we still set it up outside the truck bed, then move it over. We have set it up and torn it down about 6 times now. Which that doesnt sound like a lot, but for camping it's a good amount. It's been amazing and even did great in low temperatures (mid 30's), (which new campers- leave a window cracked to help keep out the condensation in the tent!) This one did it bad, and we had to open the window a little more than we normally do.

Tent is still holding up strong. Absolutely loving it. I highly, highly, highly recommend. The only issue we have had is the one strap as described above in the beginning. We absolutely love it, I can NOT recommend it enough. The amount of times we have just 'spurr the moment' packed up everything to camp. It has been holding up very well for the price. Still using the original poles with no problem, but again putting the tent up and taking it down on the ground, and not the truck bed.

Awesome after its set up. Tool me a minute of four. Material can rip easily. Be gentle when installing on back bed. But overall. It's comfy and rad!
