This is the milder form, probably made from red pepper varieties that are mild to medium hot. Great for milder preparations, it is also a colorful garnish. A sprinkle of the powder on sour cream or yogurt gives an attractive, enhanced appearance. It can also be added as garnish to vegetables and rice. For hotter taste, seeds of dry red pepper can be used along with the red powder. Mild pepper is a mild stimulant, dispelling cold symptoms. According to Ayurveda, it contains large amounts of solar energy. It is certainly a spice that increases the body temperature.

Got this from a local store. It appears to have more colour and less spice. Very disappointed with the product. Try at your own risk.
